Here is a video of the occ on an AMD 64 X2 BE overclocked to 3465 MHZ at -21C with internal temp readings and chuck temp readings. Coming very soon... Other platforms including 5960x x99

In the lab tonight oc'ing a pentium D with the OCC. Results and video coming soon!

I love the concept of this and all other extreme cooling. I was wondering the application of a Rhino Lining CC2 cloased cell foam covering pretty much all of those frosted over components. Take it easy on me if it is worthless added effort and cost. I haven't gone past a tipped up can of Duster on a old PC heatsink...and watercooling.

It just seems better to me than a neoprene wrap as it makes REAL contact with all components involved.

*edit* also meant to add it would stop all of those small leaked I would assume.

If you're talking about the insulation over the i/o hose it is a foam designed to stay flexible under a wide range of temps. I dont think rhinoliner is flexible and this method is a lot cleaner than any type of spray. As far as the mobo goes, with the OCC purge kit, there is no need for insulation. Ice does not form. Also I dont know how rhinoliner would respond to extreme cold temps. I dont think anyone would recommend using a spray insulation on your mobo.

Heh yea what you described exactly what I was talking about. Its a closed cell foam designed to be flexible under a expanding and contracting house. So you answered my question as you already have it in use basically. Nice.

booooo! Found out I can't overclock the mobo the Pentium D (95 watts) is on mad.gif But ran the OCC at -106 with some benches just for fun. Ran some benchmarks and stress tests. The funny thing is the temp changed virtually zero during all of the tests. Now I know this computer puts out a lot of heat just idling. It was my business computer and kept me warm for a couple of winters. So I'm pretty surprised by the results at -106C. Looks like the controller was WAY ahead on it. Lovin it! Shouldn't the temp go up when the CPU is benched or stressed? I believe the OCC is just, as I have thought all along, sensing the minute loss if chill when there is stress on the CPU producing heat and adding LN2 just enough... I also thought that there would be less need for extensive cooling at the minimum temps. Funny thing is, the heaters ran as much as the LN2 maintaining the low temp. Totally stoked (me not the heaters)! Rendering the video now. Will upload in a few minutes.thumb.gif
