The more I think about it every day (moving to Windows 10) the more I start thinking about Dual Booting myself too. Buying a fresh MX200 500GB to install Win 10 on along with games, then keeping my M500 240GB with Win 7 on it intact just in case.

I was originally planning on just wiping the M500 with 7 on it completely and have it as more SSD space for games, but browsing various forums and seeing how many people going back to 7 or 8 starts to make me question getting rid of the Windows 7 install.

Luckily I have never received an update for either side...yet.
Microsoft Defender turns it's self back on but the update service doesn't seem to.

Edit: Windows 10 does feel a little 2D/flat compared to 7 doesn't it? I set my wallpaper to a flower. It really spruced things up. wink.gif

White Owl, you should be in bed, well my time zone biggrin.gif

As I wrote that last post of mine, i did think of that, but I am simplistic person who wants a simple life. I also rather learn the ins and outs of win10, as much as I hate it. Now and then I repair friends, others, computers, and to be the in game you have to be with the times, sad but true drool.gif not drooling, i am crying tongue.gif

Look at this mess I have to deal with though:

It gets confusing. redface.gif

If I'm sleeping when the wife gets off work, I might not get any butt. Coffee helps.

I agree with that. Even though I didn't like 7 at first, it was better than Vista and XP felt really old. Then they never made a better OS and here we are.
Even though DX12 is doing little for any one at the moment, it will probably become a requisite so I'm going to use this turd any way. Windows broke some games earlier and I fixed. It's a start.

Yeah that's me too. I update as needed when something specific needs it, and that's the only time. I never have a problem, but I know I'm not the typical end user so what works for me probably doesn't for the average pc user.

You can, IF you know how to do it. Most people, EVEN in IT/IS can't properly use Windows. Thus they don't know how and blame Microsoft instead.

Whining is much easier than learning and that is what's wrong with America.

The best part is them not realizing they are the .1% that are outraged about this and not realizing they are the 1% that Microsoft did not make W10 for. Clearly W10 is geared toward those that one a very easy interface to understand, no real technical knowledge and updates that automatically install so they have to do nothing at all to keep their system updated.

But, that's the problem with any enthusiast form. Everyone over exaggerates what "everyone" wants and think their wants are greater than anyone else.

Microsoft collects data so they can make W10 a better experience for the masses?
- Evil, evil Money$oft needs to be dismantled!!!

Google collects data so they can target ads on their customers, making money of their collecting.
- I for one welcome our Google overlords!!

If people want something that is completely 100% open and you control every single aspect of it, go use Linux, because clearly they don't understand the purpose of Windows.
