IDE in bios is not an available option with Z170 boards.

Wellp Time to go home and get my 2x8800GT and my spare 470..... This is gonna be good. Time to pull out the 24V PSUs and do local regulation at the input with the balanced supply, and then you just put a crap ton of filtering on the output from the DC-DC, similar to builds posted here. It will be a fairly clean output for the GPU and it will auto correct and you wont get loss due to the wires. I'll prolly spin some PCBs from OSHPark once I get the measurements. And as an added bonus you can use the extra power on the 24V supply to light some SWEET LEDs. lol. though depending on the designs on the led die, it may need filtering but that's a bit nit picky, though you don't want noise on your supply.I guess we could start filtering where at all possible. Ferrite beads are pretty cheap and you can get the plastic snap mount ones for like USB cables. But yeah, with a decent buck circuit and filtering you would have a nice regulated output.

I want to see someone post some gaming benchmarks too! Like Crysis One! I got an 8800 GTS 640mb JUST to play Crysis back in the day. So many memories. If someone could post some benchmarks of their super overclocked 8800's playing Crysis I would be greatly appreciative! I don't have mine anymore frown.gif!

I had an 8800 GT 512MB that I sold to get a 4890 so I could play Crysis... And then I bought a second for crossfire. Slayed Crysis biggrin.gif

So I did this over the weekend.

I was about to move on to other benches when the card stopped working. It gave me 8 bit colors for a few minutes then stopped booting completely frown.gif

Then I did this this morning:

480 degrees C for 5 minutes and now I have a card that boots. Who knows how long this will last for and I haven't benched it yet so maybe it wont actually work, but it boots so I am happy for now.

Just wait until your GPU block shows up. You should be able to blast that score. I've done slightly higher clocks on water with my card. You should be able to get at least 1000 core out of it with a proper block and no PCI-E extension.

EDIT: Push your memory speeds! 2000C11 is killing your score wink.gif

I took that screenshot when I was having ram moisture issues. I am running 2400C8 most of the time, wish I could go higher but the sticks are 1600C7 normally so I think its good. My ghetto cooling solution is just that...it really doesn't work well that's why I am pumped to get a real GPU pot to play with.

What volts/primary timings have you tried? 1.9-2v is needed for the best out of most sticks. thumb.gif Good work so far!

So you're saying, with 1.9v/2.0v my Trident X 2400/10 sticks could hit much higher? Like 2666/C9? (If my IMC is up for it ofc)
