I wish I were sandbagging, I bought two evga gts 512's from ebay, but a week later the seller sends a message saying out of the 5 cards he has only one was 100% working and I can have them all for the price I payed. Well by then the reasonable prices and/or availability was gone so I took em. The working card was a Samsung and the rest Qimonda. Sammy card suddenly stopped working while testing at around stock speeds and I noticed a broken cap right behind the gpu itself.
I have received a lot of advice on how to fix it but don't know what to do since it's the only sammy?
TLDR: I have 5 GTS 512's bought from Fleabay that are bricks, 1 is Samsung memory and did work until I found a cracked cap behind gpu. What is the right way to proceed? I sent Splave a pm because he said he had extras and I would buy one, but I know he's super busy and I don't think I explained the situation properly and don't blame him if he didn't even read it all. I myself have very minimal free time since running a 2 and a half man team remodeling business means 6 to 7 day work weeks
TLDR:TLDR:.......Right way to fix broken smd ceramic cap. Help...
