Update and Roadmap

Received my new copper Heatsinks (Check this Thread) but I'm not going to mount them just now since I'll have to drain the system. For the moment everything works fine it's just FurMak thats giving my current Heatsinks a hard time. But Who needs that Syntetic scenario.
I'll wait with the draining since I also want to delid my CPU (Which I could do without draining) but I want to go with one of those KITS (on DIE cooling) and having the tubes off the CPU cooler gives my an easier time installing the block.
Also I want to get a shorter Res Tube since the current one is touching my Rad (just touching not pushing)

UPDATE

Hey Guys,
it's been many a SC games, but I got some updates to report.
First of all though, happy new year 2016 and thanks for all the views I got so far. I've had a wonderfull time fiddeling and building on this system, but it seems thats it came to near completion.
It's acctualy been a while since I updated my system, but I was to busy/lazy to put it online :/

It was a scary experience, but I had to do it, because I really wanned to know what's it all about. I delidded my IVY 3770K with the Vice method and later mounted it naked with the EK precise Mount Naked for IVY.
Since I wanted to also mount my copper VRAM Heatsinks to my GPU's I needed to drain my system, which, even if one got a draining hose installed (which I have) is a pain in th ass. Especially when one has to remove the GPU blocks. :/

DELIDDING
When I started I thought it couldn't be that hard right, but after I gave my PCH a few hits with the hammer and nothing happened I already thought about quitting. I really had to hit it hard. Maybe it was due to the amount of silicon glue or whatever it is that holds the PCH onto the Lid but in my case it seemed to be a lot. (BTW I used a piece of pine Wood as an inbetween hammer and PCH)

The "Mini Vice" I used, borrowed it from work, and it eventually did the job.

When the lid was off and me thinking, that CPU must be dead eek.gif

CPU mounted (or rather layed onto the MTB socket)

Of course the system did not boot when I fist switched it on. PANIC, "that think must be dead" Spoiler, It wasn't (unbelivable how much abuse a CPU can take) The issue was of course that the CPU did not have enough pressure, I read about this issue befor somewhere in this Forum. The DIE created a Vaccum with my Waterblock that pulled the PCH away from the Socket, so you need to Tape the CPU on the Socket and screw the CPU block as tight as possible. I acctually used some PlayDoh like substance to put on the side of the PCH to give it a even pressure against the Socket. So far it works, Temperture drop about 15-20C° as far as I can tell, but I never really monitored them that precicely. And I mainly did the delidding for the sake of it.

FINAL TOUCHES
I also got a Shorter ResTube for my Pump/Res Combo, the long one was touching the Rad which anoyed me.
Ohh. and the drive cage is in now as well, with 2x1TB Raid 0 as a scratch disk and a 2 TB WD Black.
Also I'm running Multiboot OSX Yosemite (clover Hackintosh) and Windows 10

Thats it for "Interceptor" I herby consider the build COMPLETE(-ish). If anyone got any questions and/or feedback, do not hesitate to leave it heree, I would really appreciate.
So Long
Cheers TDEUS

To be honest, it's just sitting there at the moment.
The lasiness got to me, since I'm not really moving my rig and there istn't much space for the cage to move anyway I left it as is. But I originally planned on fixing it from behind with some 2-4 screws
