It's nice to see Polyphony keeps the game updated, although they did change the frequency to be more slow paced. It is a good game and generally a big seller for the PlayStation.
I just wish it had more feature like Forza does on the Xbox. I'd love to have a way to add custom, user created paint jobs and sell them for in-game currency. The track editor is a good step towards allowing player creativity. I imagine a lot of real world tracks will be available through this.

As for the released/not released debate: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gran_Turismo_6

Uhh, yeah, GT6 is definitely released and has been out for a while. Like a previous poster said, it's only $15 new. I recently got a G27 and have been playing the crap out of it. Premium cars or not, I don't care, it's the driving experience that counts, and when you're driving with a wheel, you don't even see the car if you're using the correct view... wink.gif

That aside, the course maker app is indeed an "app", on the Google PlayStore and I'm not sure about iOS, but the app is apparently only compatible with tablets, and only compatible with certain compatible tablets on top of that, so it's of no use to me. Also, the reviews are pretty horrible, but I just noticed a new GT6 patch that downloaded yesterday, and it added a sub-menu for the course maker app, which leads me to believe they released the course maker app before they integrated it into the game, which lead to negative reviews because there was no way to upload the GPS data into the game. However, it does seem very, very interesting. I could spend forever driving random or familiar places, recording GPS data and making tracks in the game. It also makes me wonder about the possibilities that are opened up for rare, real life tracks that aren't in the game already. Who's to stop somebody from recording the GPS data from the Top Gear Test Track.... which I so desperately want back from GT5. I also told a friend about the app, and they wanted to go to Iowa Speedway which is close to us and use that GPS data... like I said, with GT's community, the possibilities could be endless, depending on the abilities of the actual track editor. If the customization options are scant, it won't be much fun, and that's what I'm expecting. Although if there are more options than GT5, it could be immensely fun.

Staying subbed for feedback from anybody that makes a track.

Many people are making real life tracks already.

Also, to run the app on pc, use bluestacks

The track editor is pretty hit or miss. There's no preview on the app and its really hard to see what the terrain is like. You basically have no idea what your track will look like when you first import it. You have to re-import and replay the entire track every time you want to make a small change. But half the time, the map is nothing like what you imagined and not even worth salvaging. There are a lot of really terrible maps out there.
