Help with Koolance QDC's

Hi OCN,

I really need some help here.

I have a couple of these QDC's which I planned to put into my loop - but at the time of building I did't have the correct connectors, therefore they were left out.

Now I have some time and will be putting them in, but I just want to confirm I am getting the right ones.

Here are the QDC's I have.. (male and female)

https://www.caseking.de/en/koolance-qd2-no-spill-schnellverschluss-gerade-female-1-4-zoll-wasa-262.html

https://www.caseking.de/en/koolance-qd2-no-spill-schnellverschluss-gerade-male-1-4-zoll-wasa-447.html

What connectors do I need do attach these to my tubing? (which I think is 16/11)

I am looking at this page: https://www.caseking.de/en/liquid-cooling/fittings/16-11-mm

If an expert could point me in the right direction I would be be very thankful.

Cheers

Just make sure that the thread spec for the connectors is the same as the thread spec for the QDCs.

You will also need a way to connect the QDCs to your tubing.

That was what I was hoping to find - a way to connect them to the tubing - they fit the components but not the tubing.

You also need barbs or compression fittings to connect the tubing to the QDCs / adaptors.

Note that some places sell the barbs and compression adapters with male or female threads.

As you are probably noticing this setup (Koolance QDCs) is going to cost a lot of money.

May I suggest that you look around the interwebs for a site that sells medical grade tubing and fittings. I was able to find some 3/4 inch strong plastic, high flow, no leak QDCs that I could order barbed or threaded (male or female) for $32 per pair. Note that the Koolance QDCs are very restrictive to water flow, and then you have to add in all the restriction of the extra fittings too.

Sorry, I should have made it more clear, I already have the QDC's (2 male 2 female) I purchased them over a year ago.

So I want to use what I have - although thanks for that link - I will definitely look into that for my new build.

That's why I am getting these sorted now - I am placing an order for another build, and just wanted to pick up the adapters that help me drop these QDC's into my existing loop.

I have compression fittings - but I can't connect them directly to the QDC, was hoping just to find an adapter of some sort?

ok you need a double female G1/4 fitting and what ever compression fittings will fit your tubing

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21796/ex-tub-2234/Bitspower_G14_Thread_Female_Female_Connector_Fitting_-_True_Brass_BP-TBWP-C03.html?tl=g30c101s1354

a double female like this one

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/21378/ex-tub-2069/Bitspower_G14_Thread_12_ID_x_34_OD_Compression_Fitting_-_Black_Sparkle_BP-BSCPF-CC5.html?tl=g30c409s1609

and I think this is the size tubing you have so this size compression fitting.

now you can connect the QDC, to the compression fitting, and the tubing to that.

Thanks @toolmaker03 that looks like the one I need, and yes the other angle adapters are all G1/4.

I will get these ones https://www.caseking.de/en/bitspower-multi-adapter-ig-1-4-zoll-matt-black-waad-188.html

Thanks for the help guys thumb.gif
