Considering a pair of 980ti in SLI, minimum power supply requirements? - Page 2

For the 750 and 850 watt units, the EVGA G1 and G2 are night and day different in terms of quality. G1 being made by FSP I believe and the G2 being made by Superflower. I'm not saying the G1 us junk, though some people would. I would get the G2 if possible if the same is true for the 1000 watt, which I think it is.

And the GS's I think are Seasonic. Top tier stuff too.

Used Seasonic for 8 years. All mine are still working (own 5 of them). They are the OEM tho for lots of brands.

+1 to this

Just to give you an idea, my 980 Ti running 1550/8000 @ 1.24V pulls 350W on average in BF4, and certain areas I've seen it go all the way up to 425W and then throttle back down due to hitting power limit (I set 425W as the limit in my custom bios). So yeah minimum 1000W for overclocking, and 1200W for heavy overclocking.
