Easy Drain Port Setup

Almost ready to finish my build only thing missing is a drain port.

Top 360 Rad + Bottom 480 Rad in Caselabs SMA8 & EK 150 Res. Pump is mounted in the bottom as well near the 480 rad.

So what's the best way for me install a drain port. And what things I need for a easy drain port.

Any help would be great smile.gif

Find a suitable spot in the loop at the lowest level, use a T-fitting, it has three ports, run the loop like usual through the two ends with two fittings and tubing, but off the middle port, add a compression fitting, run tubing from the compression fitting as long as you want, add another compression fitting to the end with a Bitspower mini ball valve. Whenever your ready to drain, pull out the tubing with the ball valve, open the mini valve and drain out the loop. thumb.gif

Depending on your RAD's ports etc you may be able to do something like I did.

Here is a Bitspower valve setup for use as a drain port on my 900D. The SMA8 is similar at the bottom to my 900D so you should be able to rig something similar to my setup.

This is how I setup mine:

I have two drain ports, one in the first pic allows me to quickly drain the res and top radiator. But since my 360 is at the lowest point in my loop, I had to add another drain port to that as well in order to fully drain the loop.

I used a ball valve on the drain port of the radiator in the bottom of the case like jaganram.

Here it is mounted.

It's an Alphacool NexXxoS Monsta 560. There are 6 ports on the one end so you have your choice of 3 for the inlet and 3 for the outlet. The other end has one, which is the one I used for the drain.
