Just finished my water cooling loop, let me know what you think guys ! - Page 3

Nice job.

I'm bleeding mine now. Not a big fan of RED but unfortunately Asus is. redface.gif

I have 2x 360x60mm and 1x 240x60mm in my Caselabs S8.

On my Z97 Classified a 4790k @ 4.9 and my Titan X it would Idle around 29c and loaded the CPU would max around 60c and the GPU 39c ...... now I have R5E with a 4.6 capable 5960X so I'll be moving the box to the end of the desk (closer to the window) for additional cooling from our mother until I can sneak a 1/2 hp chiller into the loop. wink.gif

I would like to see blue, or purple lol. But I agree, I think red and black is over played but I went with the theme anyway to keep everything matching.

I'm just poking the bear lol, lots of people don't seem to understand that this is a step by step process. I wanted to see how cool I can my get my CPU overclocking while I tried to reach 5ghz. When I'm done with that I'll go back down to 4.5 and get a block for my GPU. Only thing people see is OMG YOUR GPU IS NOT WATER COOLED! You're gunna die! Haha

The only thing that i saw was that in your OP you specifically said "this loop is for CPU only and not interested in cooling my GPU". Im pretty sure thats why everyone is saying to cool your GPU.

Nice to see someone play around with water cooling thumb.gif

We sometimes forget it's a hobby .

I do understand that, months from now I will be cooling the GPU. As of right now I'm not interested in cooling it. I have another goal in mind haha.

i really like playing around with it too. Set myself some person goals. Why not have 2 360mm rads and 2 480mm rads just for CPU, just for fun while really pushing the CPU to its max. I think it's really cool and fun seeing how low I can get it, how low I can get my delta t smaller. It's fascinating

Yeap. I had black/green theme last week ..... my wife came in last night and said .... hey, where'd the red come from I thought you hate red? I do honey but the red coolant gives lower temps. biggrin.gif

It's fun but frustrating to rout the loop the way I want without spending a ton. I think I'll relocate my reservoir tonight which means drain and fill again trying not stain anything with blood red coolant. redface.gif

Good luck on 5GHz, I'll be thrilled to get 4.7 at a decent voltage! I really want 4.5 at 1.25v but that'll be rough. wink.gif

Oh I hear yeah lol, I ordered a new top for mine to I can top off easier. I got to 4.5 with 1.28 but I couldn't get any lower. And 4.8 at 1.37 but at that I'm running little over 70c so I still have more playing around to do lol. I just can't wait for my 900D to come in. I'll re-do pretty much everything and get elbow fittings where ever needed also. It's a fun hobby for sure! I was reading ALOT of reviews and from what I gather it doesn't matter how you have the loop configured. Watch some of "Jayz2cents" on YouTube. Very helpful stuff.

I managed to get the res up where it looks better now with no issues, quick disconnects were a help there. Now I have room to add another 240 in lower compartment in the future if I want. thumb.gif

90's are nice but I sure wish I would've gotten a few 45's also as they would add some flexibility in keeping the hose as flex free as possible.
