[WCCFTECH]AMD’s Dual ‘Fiji XT’ Flagship Spotted in Shipping Manifest – Launching Soon, Possible Nomenclature: ‘Radeon R9 Gemini

The dual Fury XT graphic card will pack over 8192 stream processors in 128 CUs. Since a single Fury X has 4 ACEs and 2 HWS you are looking at a total of 8 ACEs and 4 HWS for the Radeon R9 Gemini (no, this isn’t a typo, we will do a detailed piece on this in the coming future). A single R9 Fury XT boasts an impressive performance of 8.6 TFLOPs, so you are theoretically looking at one of the world’s most powerful single GPU solutions clocking just over 17.2 TFlops.

Launch date: Autumn 2015

Looking forward to it for sure

That's an impressive feat considering you could jam two of these into an mATX X99 board. Or better yet, into a full sized ATX board and have spare room for M.2 PCI-e SSD's.

However, quadfire really demands twice the VRAM. Perhaps a later version will sport that.

iLeakStuff for once posted something that is not anti-AMD based, and is the exact same thread, just 5 hours earlier :

Nah, let it stay. Mods moved the original thread to the AMD subforum because I had no source (I was the source). Better to have an active thread on rumor or hardware news subforum

Believe it or not ku4eto, I have never been anti-AMD. But I say my opinions no matter what company it is. I had 7970GHz CF not long ago too. And I own stocks in AMD wink.gif

Gemini is a frigging badass label for a dual card. Didn't EVGA launch a dual GTX 680 with that name?

Then some company releases the Gemini Saga. Nerdgasm.
Yeah pretty cool that AMD mixed up the names with the recent launches
R9 Gemini
R9 Fury X
R9 Nano

Much cooler than a generic name like GTX 980 or 390X

I hate to be a nit pick, but 2 GPU's on a single video card ISN'T "the world's most powerful single GPU".

.

Graphics Processing UNIT I would define the UNIT as the whole product including all elements on the PCB, so in reality it would be the most powerful GPU. Sure you could get into Symantec's but that would be nit picking for sure.

Maybe wccftech are setting up to leak stuff about the next AMD flagship gpu. But if it only does 1050Mhz on the core, then it won't be good enough.
