Unable to Extend Desktop Across Two Monitors

Thread Starter
I have new build that I have been unable to extend desktop across two monitors. Tried everything I know, short of going back to Win 7. Could use your ideas:

Config:
Graphics Card: Asus R9290X-DC2-4GD5
Monitor 1: Dell U2413
Monitor 2: Dell U3011
All connections DisplayPort: Card >>U23413>>U3011
Monitors and cables were previously used in same DisplayPort config with my last build, so I don't believe the monitors or cables are a problem. Monitors have DP 1.2 enabled.
Running Win 10 x64 since day 1 of this build

Troubleshooting thus far:

Updated Graphics card drivers and Catalyst for Win 10 x 64.
Called Asus. They told me to do the above. Already did it.
Reloaded Win 10 after above. Did not fix the issue.
Submitted a support request with AMD, but no response yet.

Running out of ideas..

I'm thinking that the issue is either with:

A. Windows 10. If so, maybe I should load win 7 on one of my backup drives and boot it up to see if that works. Lot's of work, so I'd like your opinion before I take this one one

B. AMD or Asus card issue. Asus offered to RMA the card if other options don't work. Nice of them, but I'd really like an educated view of the issue before I try that one. Maybe AMD will have an idea.

Or maybe one of you have some insight.

Thanks in advance for your wisdom and technical insight.

Tim

Have you tried connecting both monitors independently to the display port, and verified that they work? How about a different port on the GPU such as DVI or HDMI?

Did that. Able to get a signal to both monitors independently while daisy chained. And, Windows recognizes the presence of both monitors. I just can't get them them into extended desktop mode.

I believe there are some serious driver issues with AMD/Windows 10.
My brother is having huge issues with his 280X's (CF) and im also having some funnies. Screens take ages to wake up when moving mouse etc. Sometimes when it does eventually wake up some windows span 1 and a half screens or the opposite, where the window is resized to 640x480. generally the biggest culprit here is firefox. I would try the Windows 7 route or even 8.1 if you have it.
The funny thing with me and my brothers setups, is everything was perfect on the tech preview of win 10 mad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

I'm also having some squirrelly behavior. I have a SR into AMD. Planning to hear what they have to say before reverting to Win 7.
