Like I said, you'll burn the PSU out prematurely. High-end or not, you don't want to do that to a PSU. Go ahead and do it if you want, but don't come back and say that I didn't warn you.
I would stay far away from used PSUs. You don't know what they've been through.
Actually EVGA g2 do 100% load 24/7 for years. I have been doing it for nearly 3 years personally. And in this case, i'm talking about 72% load 24/7. Thats under the safety margin for 24/7 load recommended by the manufacturer themselves. (80%)
There's about a hundred of them in use at a small farm nearby and the guy had 2 DOA and no failure in 4 years. Personally i have 10 and EVGA said there is no problem using the hardware like this. I'm not sure where you're getting your information but it doesn't seem to match my and the bitcoin community's reality.
PSU having their components degrade over time is why we went with high quality components to prevent that and the 10yr warranty and the PSU never damaging our mining hardware even when the PSU fail is why is why the complete GAW farm was running solely on them. And is why most non Chinese farm uses them.
The Chinese farm also run at 100% but they use made in China crap.
Anyways it seem that the answer to my question is;
RMx Corsair, most seasonic modular PSU are good contenders to keep an eye on, even though those aren't true and tested in an industrial setup and EVGA g2 more or less still remain the go to ATX power supply for industrial setup.
