If they have an advantage due to dx11, it will be in the CPU bound performance.

Just like Battlefield 4 - Nvidia has like a 60% FPS advantage in CPU bound performance in dx11.. GPU bound performance isn't better.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nvidia did this on purpose so then the consumer is felt obligated to upgrade every year. Nvidia marketing 101

It's maybe a consequence of how they do their GPUs. They need to optimize each game for kepler and maxwell to get good performance out of them. but without infinite resources that's a chore for older cards.

The results linked before show that the guru3d 1440p and 4K results are similar to what you get with a factory overclocked 980ti.

980 ti at 1340 MHz
4K 44 fps
1440p 84 fps

vs guru3d

4K 43 fps
1440p 81 fps

Will need a decent OC beyond that on the 980ti to leave the Fury X behind.

Nice showing for everyone. Seems nicely optimized for both sides. thumb.gif

edit: It appears Nvidia just released their SLI profile for Battlefront. You have to download it via Geforce Experience currently, as I guess it's not part of the driver package.

What saddens me, this will still sell like hotcakes and still run like crap, and very little substance to the overall game!

What are you basing these statements on? Yes, it will sell well, but the benchmarks already show it running smoothly and there appears to be quite a bit of substance to it.

Or are you just another EA hater?

I'm not a EA hater, I just hate poorly develop games.... And I think for myself vs gamer-sheep (Gamer-sheep; Gamers who just go with the crowd, and break out their wallets without thinking first)

Wut? Look at the benchmarks. It is running great on all configs, low and high.

So you think you're a special snowflake because you don't follow the crowd? rolleyes.gif

But by not following 'the crowd', you're now part of 'the crowd' who thinks they're separate and has thus become a new 'crowd'...
