Hi.

The Danger Den D5 is excellent:

Swiftech has one that is essentially if not identical to it.

Liang D5 (Swiftech MPC655 or Danger Den D5)
DDC-2 (Swiftech MPC350 or Danger Den DDC-12V)
DDC-12V with Modified Top: http://www.petrastechshop.com/laddcwpeddto.html

The best pumps are Iwaki (Japanese aquarium pumps). However, they are more expensive and are usually overkill.

The Swiftech MPC655 is the Danger Den D5. Both pumps are made by Liang.

Run it at the maximum setting... as long as noise doesn't bother you. The pump is quiet once there are no air bubbles, so I recommend running it at 5.

True fact, but it is Laing Thermotech Inc. and not Liang.

And I've run my D-5 @ 5 since day one. Once it's bled, it's extremely quiet if tightly mounted.

The 18W Laing DDC with a Petra Tech top is a great pump...The Iwaki Md RLZ is another great pump, it is an AC pump though....
