SMART CAST/EASY-SHIFT[+]™
Smart Cast is the intuitive button layout that doubles up on your standard mouse 1 and mouse 2 functions. Optimally placed within finger-tip reach, it adds a new level of reflexive control for fast-paced games. Coupled with Easy-Shift[+]™, you've got some powerful combos and button assignments at your disposal. Easy-Shift[+]™ doubles the Kova's total button functions from eleven to an impressive 22, ensuring you won't be left wanting.
In my opinion EasyShift already is a great idea. 2 extra buttons (Smart Cast) for additional functions in-game sounds even more interesting for MOBAs, I guess. Maybe for FPS too, no clue. Have to try it.
Personally I'm a sucker for any kind of RGB lightning. Just personal preference ofc.
Overall new Kova looks like an interesting ambidextrous 3320 mouse with functions that may come in quite handy.
*Edit* Video showing new Kova
Apparently there's another new mouse from Roccat, the Kiro. A mouse that you can adjust to your needs depending, if you're right or left handed.
Yeah, seen the Kiro also about 3-4 hours ago, but I had to watch a soccer game. That russian guy also has the only video about Taito Control on YT apparently (except those giveaway vids).
Looks really nice actually. Hopefully the side buttons on the weak side don't get in the way. I like that they got rid of the giant gear looking scroll wheel (because the encoder was awesome but the old shape was kind of odd). Looking forward to grabbing one.
Being able to go w/o side buttons on ring finger side make the Kiro more appealing to me. The shape seems good but it might be too narrow for me. That was my problem w/ the Savu...it was an excellent little mouse but it just didn't suit my grip + hand size. The fact the Kiro is ambi might help, but the Savu was also way too slippery for me and this mouse seems to use the same surface on the sides.
The Kova looks like it has too much going on with it as a whole. I'd love it if it were that same shape with a simple 3-5 button design. Not to mention it'd inevitably be lighter. Still loving what Roccat is doing atm. Their build quality and scroll wheels have always been top tier in my eyes.
Kiro shape looks good, probably a bit too small though. Hopefully not the same coating as Savu at least. That mouse holds the world record for non gripable surface.
I have not used the Savu but quite a few people said the same thing about the KPM, yet in my opinion it has one of the best coatings ever made
The Kova looks good but would need to test the shape whether the extra buttons are in the way. Also the weight might be over 100 grams. Sensor position looks OK though.
