I noticed Roccat updated their ambidextrous Kova mouse. I'm almost sure yesterday it wasn't on their site, it was the old Kova[+].

Pro-Optic Sensor R6 with up to 3500dpi
Up to 7000dpi with Overdrive Mode
1000Hz polling rate
1ms response time
20G acceleration
12-bit data channel
72MHz Turbo Core V2 32-bit Arm based MCU
512kB onboard memory
1.8m braided USB cable
Double dpi isn't completely new. I saw that in Sensei vanilla first.

SMART CAST/EASY-SHIFT[+]™
Smart Cast is the intuitive button layout that doubles up on your standard mouse 1 and mouse 2 functions. Optimally placed within finger-tip reach, it adds a new level of reflexive control for fast-paced games. Coupled with Easy-Shift[+]™, you've got some powerful combos and button assignments at your disposal. Easy-Shift[+]™ doubles the Kova's total button functions from eleven to an impressive 22, ensuring you won't be left wanting.
In my opinion EasyShift already is a great idea. 2 extra buttons (Smart Cast) for additional functions in-game sounds even more interesting for MOBAs, I guess. Maybe for FPS too, no clue. Have to try it.

Personally I'm a sucker for any kind of RGB lightning. Just personal preference ofc.

Overall new Kova looks like an interesting ambidextrous 3320 mouse with functions that may come in quite handy.

*Edit* Video showing new Kova

Apparently there's another new mouse from Roccat, the Kiro. A mouse that you can adjust to your needs depending, if you're right or left handed.

Gimmicky af. It seems like the beats/razer style of marketing works, sadly.

Yeah, it will be pretty much sitting there unused unless Roccat's ODM came up with some magic.

Also op might want to update this thread title. There is another mouse called the Kiro. It's not roccat's website yet though.

Also video on the new Kova too. Narrated by Snidely Whiplash.

Kiro's MSRP will be $60.
Kova's MSRP will be $70.

Ehhhhhhh that pricing....Especially since the Kiro looks like it's a Lua with replaceable(3D printable) sides.

Looks really nice actually. Hopefully the side buttons on the weak side don't get in the way. I like that they got rid of the giant gear looking scroll wheel (because the encoder was awesome but the old shape was kind of odd). Looking forward to grabbing one.

Being able to go w/o side buttons on ring finger side make the Kiro more appealing to me. The shape seems good but it might be too narrow for me. That was my problem w/ the Savu...it was an excellent little mouse but it just didn't suit my grip + hand size. The fact the Kiro is ambi might help, but the Savu was also way too slippery for me and this mouse seems to use the same surface on the sides.

The Kova looks like it has too much going on with it as a whole. I'd love it if it were that same shape with a simple 3-5 button design. Not to mention it'd inevitably be lighter. Still loving what Roccat is doing atm. Their build quality and scroll wheels have always been top tier in my eyes.

Ideally it would be released next month alongside the Kova...but honestly it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't officially release until next year.

Agree, roccat is basically Razer done right, they prove that they can innovate outside the dpi number

Their stuff have perfect build quality, their scroll wheel was poorly designed in their earlier mice but atleast they fix it unlike Zowie.

Roccat Kiro is low end apart from its changeable shape:

I have not used the Savu but quite a few people said the same thing about the KPM, yet in my opinion it has one of the best coatings ever made

The Kova looks good but would need to test the shape whether the extra buttons are in the way. Also the weight might be over 100 grams. Sensor position looks OK though.
