Not the pro version. Right now he has an old Phenom II, but will probably pick up a 8320 by Christmas. Thank for the suggestion on actively cooling the vrms.

Neweggs shipping has changed over the years that's for sure. I could dedicate a thread just to vent on that subject.

It use to take 48 hours regardless of what I ordered. Now it's 5 days at the absolute very best and up to 11 if it's coming from California followed by "smart" post.

The only stuff I buy from Newegg are items with ShopRunner shipping; years of Prime shipping have soured me on anything else.

So disappointing to see those things happen. I remember being able to order something on Wednesday by around 10 am cst and receiving it on friday by noon - free shipping from city of industry Cali to edge of nowhere Nebraska. Amazon does come close to matching that, but it seems like its a little more random.

Hey, you are way too spoiled! biggrin.gif Newegg is great site with so much stuff, plus i even go to read the reviews just for the fun of it. Here there is no shop with such variety, Amazon is the best thing you can get about that, but if you want the best prices (discounts here are non existant), there are only a few shops and are usually slow. I just ordered a multifunction printer and the prediction for delivery is 8 work days. biggrin.gif

Here Amazon uses 7 different postal companies at random (or so they say), 2 of which are very obscure (never heard of them before) and are very prone to problematic deliveries... For some reason, i actually always get one of these 2, although at their site they say it's "random". With these 2, all the times i 've ordered from Amazon, either they couldn't find my house (the other common couriers call you when they have trouble, these don't) or the package was damaged. In one occasion, the cardboard box had a bump and the motherboard box inside also was partially crushed inside the package. "Prime service". rolleyes.gif

Once you get the board, pop off the VRM heatsink and see what fets it is using.
Based on a blurry image it looked like they have finally ditched NikoSemi fets, but obviously that sounds to good to be true rolleyessmileyanim.gif

I've been poking around , reading what others have posted about it, there are several things that lead me to believe they did quite a few changes in the power delivery /management.
Hardware and bios included.
I'll let you know , but I want to do a mini review as it is shipped from the factory first - I recommend patience and a sense of humor ( and lowered expectations of the reviewer lol ) smile.gif.
