Hi Everyone,
Hopefully I posted at the right place.
Recently My net is being slow and I don't know why. I notice the following things:
- More notable in a game, but it feels like data is getting clogged, so nothing comes through, and then some time later all the data that should have come through comes at once.
- When I run a diagnostic on my computer, windows tells me that there seems to be nothing wrong with your network, I AM connected, but it feels like that I am not seeing it's so slow.
- If it doesn't say "nothing seems to be wrong", it tells me Windows cannot identify the problem.
- On my Laptop, it keeps telling me "Windows has confirmed that this computer is experiencing a connectivity problem"(uh....yeah? Why do you think I am diagnosing, I wanted you to tell me what the problem is, and you tell me that there is a confirmed problem)
In video games I notice two kinds of "slow lag":
1. The Clogging as stated above
2. Issue an action, and the action is carried out after some delay(for example if I i click somewhere for my character to move, it does so after some delay, not instantly)
And Yes, I am running on wireless. I am using a wireless adapter. I know that I might be better off with a ethernet cable, but I an out of town and can't get one even if I wanted.
So...what I wanted to ask is, is this usually just a wireless issue? I tried restarting the router, and the problem is still there, and I am not sure if this is even my issue, something taking up internet, or the ISP anymore.
My Desktop is on Windows 7 and my laptop is on Vista.
If anyone who has some insight into this would shed some light on the subject,
Thanks
