Will the Logitech PMW-3366 exclusivity end? - Page 3

Some challenges I can think of

1) PCB size
2) Rotary encoder for the wheel, same type?
3) As the buttons are integrated with the shell on the G400 would that pose a problem with the "button spring" system? Both are Omron type switches.
4) How are side buttons connected?
5) On the G303 the sensor appears to be separate from the main PCB, could help with sensor positioning, assuming it would fit

Omg, what I would do for exactly that. 3366 in a G400 shell. I'd be locked in my room for days.

g303 sensor is on main pcb
g502 sensor has own pcb

at your sens it takes 18cm for a 180turn.

if you need 4m/s for that... you're not playing the game right

Well, I gotta wait till tuesday unfortunately. Amazon took a long time getting my latest purchase (EC2-A) shipped out. Longest I've ever had to wait for standard shipping. Gonna be a long weekend frown.gif

Is there any difference between their standard and free shipping? I alaays opt for their free one because I wind up with free products every time USPS drop the ball.

Yeah, I meant free shipping. Usually amazon is very good with getting things ready to be prepped for shipping the very next day as long as it's a business day. I usually get things within 5 days or so using their free shipping (I don't have prime currently). This time however it took them 4-5 days just to prep and ship my mouse. So now it'll be another 3-4 days in transit.

I have noticed this too with the last two orders. It took an entire week for them to even hand the package to a shipping business. They're clearly artificially delaying the process to encourage you to buy prime. Some people live close to a distribution center which just happens to have the items they ordered in stock and the customer would naturally receive the item within two days for free. Amazon isn't going to allow that to happen no matter how rare it would be. This wasn't the case in the past, at least not this severe.

Yea, that makes sense. If that is indeed what their doing. I like Prime, it's a good service and you get things quick. The problem is I don't always exclusively use amazon. I use Newegg more often for peripheral/PC related items - so re-subscribing to Prime is just another bill I'll have to pay. If I was ordering 5 or more things from amazon a month, then the prime package would be more worth it to me, but right now I'm not so I can't be assed to fork over the extra money for it. I had it for a year, and it was nice while I had it but just decided to save the 100 bucks.

Like you, I've never had this issue until recently. I would place an order, and as long as it was in stock, it would get shipped out the next day. The EC2-A was in stock when I ordered it. There's no excuse that I can see why a company like amazon needs 4 days just to prep the order for shipping.
