The 1st PCIe socket is x4 and x16 is 21.2mm farther away. There is like 91mm from center CPU to near side of x16 PCIe socket. NH-D15 is 75mm .. maybe 78mm with fan clips from center to sides.

The NH-D15S with offset base is only 86mm from center on the long offset side.

I thought this was about the D15? Anyways, you are right. It is 5/8" from the backplate to the fan clips. Dayum, and I just installed it a couple of weeks ago, I could of sworn it was closer.

Or do you think that "D15" is something different than "NH-D15"? biggrin.gif

No, you mentioned the S.. I was just talking about the regular but I see you described both. Anyways, There is room. The depth is the big thong. Fan sits on the ram. 178mm tall unless you put it in pull.

I mentions that even the NH-D15S would clear mounted backwards .. with long side toward PCIe sockets and not away from them.

If RAM clearance is an issue use something like Cryorig R1 Universal

Bottom line is a mistake was made and corrected. thumb.gif
