Usually in countries where the drivers side is on the left like us (Domestics) would have the fuel filler side on the left, drivers seat.
Countries that had the drivers seat on the right (Japan) would put the filler on the right.
Makes it easy of convenient for the owner when they get out of the car.

However not all cars followed that rule as you'll notice Foxbody Mustangs would have the filler door on the passenger side.

Back on topic. As for the discussion about intelligent users for each OS, you have them on all. To the person who worked in retail and had to deal with "dumb" mac owners. The reason why you only got dumb Mac owners was because you worked in retail. If you work in retail or a customer service field all of the people you talk too are gonna be a bunch of idiots.

I used to work at a grocery store as a customer service clerk and no matter how many degrees, or a doctorate etc that the customer had. They had no clue how to do simple math and or even how to READ English as a native speaker. Bunch of morons who had no idea that if a item is on BOGO and you only buy one that product is half price, than they would ask me how to calculate that half price.... christ are you serious man? Or when a product on the shelf is clearely labeled X.XX they seem to always look at the price tag that's NO WHERE NEAR that item and confuse that price for the real one.

"Do you know who I am?"
No, but you don't seem to know how to read English as it clearly states you have to buy ALL 10 items at the same time to get 10/$10.

Tisk Tisk if you work in retail or customer service it makes you question humanity.

I know several self proclaimed computer nerds whose extensive computing skills comes to turning the PC on and off, clicking anything and everything that pops up on their screen, then using random 'optimisers' to 'fix' their nerdiness.

How do you explain to a bunch of nerds like this that clicking anything and everything that pops up in their browsers is a bad idea and that these optimisers that haven't been maintained since XP only wreck their Win 7/8.1 OS?

They then blame you, the person who installed their OS for them, for the slowness of their internet at peak times. How many times do you need to explain that there are 1.5 billion people in China and, while they're upgrading their infrastructure to fibre, right now it's still not possible to accommodate everyone and that watching CNN (which genius watches CNN to get economics news?) through their proxy slows their internet down even more, as their VPN is pretty crappy and they should switch.

They are simply too clever to understand what you are saying.

So none of the "Geniuses" said "Hey, if we put the charging port on the front then it would be just like a normal mouse while it's charing." And don't give me any crap about the design, lightning charge ports are extremely small.

This isn't even a case of form over function since it looks dumb as hell sitting on it's side leaning on the charge cable while it's charging.

This solves nothing. The design is pathetic, and you acknowledge that fact, because it is on the user to solve Apple's disaster when you are using it. Just as much as "you are holding it wrong", its funny you blame this on the user, whereas a good design would never cause this. Ever.

Funny thing is that you compare it to a phone, when...

a) You can use the phone while charging.
b) You may have a phone charger wherever you have an AC plug, whereas I like to keep my mouse around my computer, and if my computer is off, the USB's do not charge or nothing.

Pump your own gas, often?

You're given a power meter...10% is actually more than 72 hours - The onus is on you, to charge the item...Just like when your car is nearly on empty, the onus is on you, the user to fill the tank.

Failure to do so, is your problem, not theirs.

How is this related to gas? rolleyes.gif

Man you guys would drive companies to bankruptcy....lol

I don't see the issue here. Apple had a design that worked they added the port to the bottom because their design is to never have to charge this while its in use. You would have to go out of your way to need to charge this and use. Apple puts a lot of thought into their designs and if this didn't last for amost 3 days @10% battery I could agree slightly with you all.

I hate Apple's design personally, their mice suck (their track-pads on Macbooks are amazing though), but this is just not a big deal. They had a form factor people liked and didn't wan't to compromise that or make huge changes to the shape. So they designed a power system that would allow that and not make charging affect usage.

even as a huge apple fan, i hate the magic mouse. i like their trackpads or alternately prefer to use a conventional mouse.

do people honestly like the magic mouse? i have no clue. but i don't think it was a design worth preserving. additionally, when the battery dies, you are stuck with an unusable mouse. which is perhaps the intention (have to buy a new one?).

granted making a mouse with touch features is not the easiest thing in the world. but their current design gives me handcramps almost immediately due to the lack of curvature...it is not ergonomic whatsoever.

Yeah I agree, I cramp up quickly with their mouse. My parents have the wireless trackpad and the original mouse with the little scroll ball. I hate them both. Like you I use a standard mouse when I can but the trackpad on my Blade makes me miss my wife's macbook trackpad hardcore.

If you are in front of the machine, you want to use it. This implementation prevents you from using the device. You also have to remember to plug it in when you get up. It just screams bad design; especially from a company like Apple. They are usually so well thought out.

Since when is having a good resell value bad? Maybe for the buyer... but I don't know about you, It feels awesome knowing I can buy a new macbook and 2-3 years later sell it for half of what I paid
