I detest nvidia due to the kepler gate, and now they went full retard with the driver update via gfe issue.
That aside, I don't paint amd as a saint either, their dx11 driver is just sucks, not to mention the infamous black screen issue, that's the one that was keeping me from buying 290(X) last year.

Thank god you didn't, my 290 is sitting on my speaker right next to me as I have a GTX 980 in my rig. I hate Nvidia though and really want AMD to put something competitive out again so I can switch.

i play a number of dx11 games and i'm fine with my setup. i balance things out. like i said, i'll take fewer fps any day.

Well I had the black screen issue and it sucked. I had to underclock my gpu by over 10% for it stop doing it. It ran hot and loud, was the most problematic card I've ever owned.

Or maybe they didn't test it there. Or maybe it was too embarrassing to AMD so they decided not to include it?

You know, in ALL benchmarks, the FuryX gets better as the resolution goes up. And if you look at the previous results from the benchmark release day, you will see what i am talking about. FuryX at 1080p is just useless. The benchmark is tested only on 1 resolution, so i can pretty much say that its a bit of crap.

The question is why they bother to bench Gtx 980 TI & FuryX @ 1080p?To see what?

Where are 1440p & 4K tests?Thats the real bench for high-end cards,not 1080p bench.
They are affraid of something or someone they force to test at 1080p?Weird thing.

Maybe since at 1080p in Epic mode, $695 cards were pulling 39/40 FPS, so at 4K, odds are they would be pulling what ... 10/11 FPS and would be totally unplayable?

Same for Medium mode ... 72FPS at 1080p, that is what, 18-20FPS at 4K?

Let's face it, if that is the case, you don't play this game at 4K ... and maybe not at 1440p except on Medium.

Why are people still thinking that this is the game that actually shows off Async? Ashes hardly uses any.. All this shows is that AMD hardware is very competitive with Nvidia without driver overhead.

Nvidias performance will tank with engines that actually use parallelism and make use of compute, Ashes is not the game to show that.

That 390 is showing it's value though, you can find them for under $300. thumb.gif

All these advertising clicks for a synthetic "Private" benchmark that means nothing. We've all been trolled due to the authors knowing what "we'd" react to. And I'm being generous saying We, but "we" bought it, hook line and sinker. Sad.

They're not using AA at the behest of nvidia.

One comparison I got off from overclockers.uk site.

Average FR 31.6, GPU Fury X @1100/550, Normal FR 42.5, Medium FR 30.9, Heavy FR 25.7, CPU 3770k @4.3

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=28522910&postcount=32

Now,

Average FR 43.4, GPU Fury X @1120/560, Normal FR 49.3, Medium FR 42.1, Heavy FR 39.9, CPU 3770k @4.2

There is a setting difference, namely time slice. Not sure if it's helping performance or degrading it.
