This is about how people are trying to use WU to stay secure, but MS is going even harder trying to push this on us. Granted, I haven't had a single bit of trouble since I have been using Aegis. I even install new updates and will run the most up to date version of Aegis again afterward. It quickly cleans up any sort of mess.
EDIT: If people keep this up, W10 topics are going to be banned on OCN
So the Software that Microsoft is allowing you to use is asking you to go to a newer version for free, and reminds you every now and than so you do not miss out on a free upgrade is a bad thing ?
It asks me once every other week if I want to upgrade my living room machine.
Much ado about nothing
Reports are circulating that some users are being presented with dialog boxes that only give them the option to start the upgrade process or reschedule it for a later date.
an excellent utility that has previously allowed users to opt out of and avoid the nags to upgrade to Windows 10 -- doesn't have an answer at present.
I can tell you have no idea what the actual topic is, and have no desire to learn what it is. But I'm tired of seeing people like you throwing everything around and starting messes in threads like this. Yes we know there are some privacy concerns, but not all W10 threads in the news section revolves around that
. This is about some people finding out that they have no way to back out of the upgrade process. Now, whether MS meant to do this or not, doesn't really help their image right now about W10. It's fine if you want it, it is. But some of us don't, and if you get caught being forced to W10, and there is no way to back out of the process, then people are going to throw a fit.
