GTX 970 - Is this Coil Wind?

so i've noticed my GPU makes a buzzing noise when under load.. and its not the fans.. is this coil wind? if not, what is it? should I be worried? I've had no issues with it so far and i've ran benchmarks.. no noticable artifacts/driver crashes

you'll hear me tabbing back and forth between the game

edit: pls don't laugh @ me, coil whine* I know.

Sounds like typical coil whine to me.
Nothing to worry about from a technical standpoint smile.gif

is coil whine not an issue? the card is still only 6 months old, worth getting it swapped out?

Does it happen all the time or just when you're running 100+ FPS?

Coil whine is just the coils vibrating at an audible frequency. Unless it's doing it at idle, it's probably fine.

It's you're call on swapping it out. If it annoys you, get another one. smile.gif
It's not just going to fail because of it though.

I tried multiple 970 cards and they all have the same issue. The coil whine isn't too bad imo.
