Seeing that the Rival 100 has not improved on cursor quality, i would rather have this fw55 used on it, even if it would only do 2.8m/s then.

See that's what bothers me. I can just buy a Xornet v1 and be more or less fine. Feels pointless to purchase the new version.

well, if it had the sensor of the rival 100, then i would say the same, but now with this one:
-cursor quality(how should you name it?) has improved
-not forced to use only 500 DPI for an acceptable performance
-weight is reduced!!!
-mousefeet have a better shape
-you get a driver to assign the DPI-buttons, and LOD can even be even adjusted without software
-sensor placement is better

CM Storm actually provided new firmwares rather quick, so button-latency might go down too

things Rival 100 users can only dream about, you get a whole lot more for your money with this mouse(if it's your kind of shape).

I like my mice to not be shy about "ignoring" the polling interval to register a click event.

I imagine the Ikari as some eager to please retarded golden retriever that just wants to register a click as fast as it can for you. Then one with high delay, say a Kinzu V2 Pro, is just some fat lazy slob.

If they do include a firmware that meets that very simple requirement of mine in a one of their firmware packs, I will buy this mouse. Otherwise, no.

Yep.

I was never a huge fan of this shell. It's just too wide. Almost like trying to aim with a hockey puck.

To me the most important change would be the sensor orientation. It was what drove me away from the Spawn quickly. I know I can use the shape, and it is really unique. But I wan't to see some reviews first. The Spawn had many issues. Alone I remember that beyond awful cable very much...

What is with all the dpi steps on new mice :/
Rival 100 1000dpi
This 250 steps so 750 or 1000dpi.

Where is my 800dpi step I used for years and years and hate to change from!

Not sure If i will buy this mouse, we will see smile.gif The shape is hm but then again I am one of those that never tried spawn or xornet1 because of just the shape looked horrible.

Same here. is it some 250-500-1000 dpi fest or what. What bothers me in xornet is there is not enough space between wheel and dpi button to rest middke finger, which tend to chamge dpi range in a hot fight, this is damn annoying. What im most interested is sensor performance and features. Really what's better rival100 i ordered, or this. What's the price anyway?
$29.99 will be the price depending on where you live like for example you live in one of those countries that marks everything up to an insane price.

As for the dpi steps on the Rival 100 and Xornet 2, these are budget gaming mice boys.

not much really
it's just that both 3050/3059 and pmw3320, when using their standard type of lens (ADNS-5110-001), have native steps separate by 250cpi
