Does the ring finger rest make the mouse more straining to lift? I had this issue with the Castor, because of the finger rest my pinky felt strained with frequent lifting/repositioning.

The mouse is so light it's not a problem.

Ugh this thing is +15ms out of the box before installing software isn't it?

After software its on par with G303

Didn't seem like it. The main buttons just seem unresponsive, the amount of force that generates a click on the G303 does not on the Xornet II. With software installed.

Think I'll just return it. Shape works though.

does CM even acknowledge the 1.03 firmware mess ?

So I bought this mouse a few weeks ago since my Spawn was starting to die (mouse wheel). I love the shape and the weight of these mice, but I didn't like the Xornet 1 as I recall having significant tracking and LOD issues with it. Xornet 2 seemed like a reasonable option.

So far, it's been pretty good. The 1.0 firmware seemed pretty **** as far as LOD and tracking speed. After the upgrade to 1.03 and installing the software, it feels pretty good at 500 DPI, medium LOD and 1000Hz. I can't easily get it to skip I don't notice any significant problems with the tracking.

However, every time I reboot my PC, the LOD resets to low and I have tracking issues on certain parts of my mousepad (old QcK+). I have to go back into the settings and reset it back to medium even though the software shows that it still is medium for some reason. Anyone else have this issue? It's a minor inconvenience, but it would be nice to not have to deal with it.

I have the same problem. I just set the top dpi button to cycle dpi and the bottom to calibrate LOD. It resets to max but I don't care since I mainly play osu.

Anyone know if this has any issues on an artisan hien? It looks really tempting at £20 and I need a new mouse.......
