Steam might have 125 million user right now and 9 million active user every month but their customer service is same as 10 year ago nothing has change.

By the time they got around to checking your problem, you've bought a whole new system and new games.

Yeah, every experience I've had with Origin's customer service has been utterly fantastic. Almost on par with Amazon's. Steam support on the other hand............ugh..

I prefer origin's UI and would use it as my only platform if it had more games. I'm still forced into Steam for certain things. Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against steam (Aside from their non existent CS) I just think Origin works better and faster.

You can even take EA games or games they have on Origin and transfer them from steam. It keeps them on both platforms but it lets you get some of your stuff on Origin. I did that for Crysis and Mass effect.

I'd agree with you if they didn't sell Arkham Knight, AC:U and my personal favorite: The Slaughtering Grounds. Pointing out they're a distributor that happens to sell junk doesn't mean they only sell junk. Let's be realistic about what Valve has in their pants, shall we?

I mean valve doesnt really develop a lot of the things they sell. So bad mouthing a majority of game developers out there for the PC just because they are on steam makes you ignorant. If you spent your time making something wouldnt you want everyone to see it possible?

That is absolutely crazy to brand steam as selling "Junk" because of 3 games you happen to have a bad opinion about.

Admitting it doesn't make it better in any way. Less words, more actions.

Opinion? What?

The Slaughtering Grounds is a mosaic of poorly written code and unity assets.
AC:U when it was released was broken.
AK was so broken there was a recall.

There's no opinions involved in my statement.
If 3 examples aren't enough I could list another...uhhh off the top of my head 23 examples in the last 5 years where steam has released junk games that were junk because they were barely or non-functional on release or were generally awful games due to the use of unity assets and an overly generic gameplay style which was horribly implemented.

Steam sells junk, Steam also sells good products, just like good ol' Wally World.

Where does the responsibility of the consumer start to come into play?

Who cares if Walmart or Steam sell junk, it can sit there and rot for I care, if its good, it will be purchased, if not, it will continue to sit around until the end of time

I'm not surprised the wait times are so bad. Valve employs about 350 or so employees, and I would guess maybe 30-50 of those deal with customer support. When you think of the millions of people using the platform, I'm sure that support is flooded with tickets.
