There's no such thing as best mousepad. It depends on your personal preferences.

I''m currently using a Razer Goliathus Control as well. It's an older "fragged" edition I think.. so it's mostly black with the large razer "splash" in the corner. It's not all green like the newer versions. I'm looking to replace mine as well since I've had to wash it twice now and because of it, the top part of the pad has developed a little bit of a "wave" to it from the washing process, not to mention the stitched edges have seen better days. It still tracks fine, and the medium size pad is a great size.. not as large as some bigger pads like QCK Heavy, but larger than pads like the QCK. That being said, I'm not sure what to replace it with. So far I've looked into the Glorious pads. PureTrak. Zowie(really expensive honestly). or QPAD. Most likely going to go with a glorious extended deskpad... they look high quality, and the price's aren't ridiculous like the zowie pads are.

Also depends on the mouse you're currently using. Some mice don't track well with certain pads.

^^ -- Yes I've looked at the HyperX stuff as well. The only thing I'm curious about with that exact pad is how much room I'll have for mouse movements (I use low sens) if I lay my keyboard on the pad as well, like you would expect with an extended pad. I currently use a BlackWidow ultimate 2013, and they're fairly long... if I used a TKL keyboard it wouldn't be an issue... that being said I'm also considering picking up a CM Quickfire with reds/browns relatively soon as well. Anyway, this is why I was looking at the glorious extended pads, since they seem a tough longer width wise. I am a fan of the HyperX stuff. I recently bought a Cloud II headset, and it's been great so far.

I use the HyperX FURY Pro XL and besides a badly cut upper left corner and smelling for several weeks it replaced my Goliathus Speed XXL nicely.
It's faster than the "Control" Goliathus. The edges have not yet started fraying.

But maybe you should just get another Goliathus? I would rather take the Speed version, Control collects more dirt.
