Asus X99 WS-E Chip Block Question...

Hello OC!

Take a look here: http://www.liquidextasy.de/mb-wasserkuehler/mb-chipsatz/asus/wasserk%C3%BChler-nl-nsb-asus-x99-e-ws-detail.html?showall=1#weitere-bilder

Is it just me, or does it appear that that thin will block the first PCIE x16 slot?

I am also looking at this: http://www.liquidextasy.de/mb-wasserkuehler/mb-mosfet/asus/wasserk%C3%BChler-nl-sw-asus-x99-e-ws-spawa-detail.html?showall=1#weitere-bilder

Has anyone used their components? Being made in Germany, I don't have much reason to question them - but given I don't know them, I'd like to ask.

Considering putting the following in as a loop.

Reservoir -> MCP655 1 -> Radiator 1 -> GPU 1 -> GPU 2 -> Radiator 2 -> MCP655 2 -> Mosfet -> CPU -> Chipset -> Reservoir (back to the start.. only 1 reservoir).

Thoughts?

A third GPU will be added to the loop eventually.

That's really difficult to measure, but I doubt they would make and sell the product if it did block it. If it did wind up causing problems, I'm sure you would at least be able to get a refund.

There's a thread here on OCN that I've been following in which someone has bought the full cover block for the same motherboard from the same firm:

Linky > Liquid Extasy full cover block for the X99-E WS motherboard

I'd say that the full cover version is based on the separate blocks that you're looking at (or vice versa) and so the clearances ought to be the same. So perhaps you should ask the question in that thread.

One clearance issue that guy got with the prototype version of the full cover block was with the USB3 ports. Liquid Extasy had to modify their design slightly. This modification will more than likely apply to their standalone southbridge block too.

Thanks! Will go through that thread now.

I'm contemplating either a Asus X99 WS-M Build, or a Asus X99 WS-E build.

I would prefer the WS-M build, but trying to fit everything I need into 1 case is a problem, but I am persistent!

Does anyone have experience with these? https://modmymods.com/aquacomputer-airplex-modularity-system-360-mm-copper-fins-d5-pump-stainless-steel-side-panels.html

They seem good, made in Germany, but not much on the interwebs
