I also would like to know. I'm about to commit to one of these boards but it seems every third mention of ASRock I see online is someone asking who the heck they are... Doesn't inspire confidence.

Did you end up getting this board? A different one? Still waiting?

Thanks!

I just picked this guy up myself....should be arriving today.

ASRock seems to have a decent reputation and is pretty widely known....

The setup I'll be implementing is shown here:

Shoot specific questions at me and I'll answer them as best as I can. If I get no response I'll assume you guys figured it out or went a different route thumb.gif

I just got this board with a skylake i5-6600k.

Having RAM issues. Have kit of Corsair 16gb DDR4 2x8gb Vengeance LPX 2666mhz. I can only get the thing to post in single channel mode, either using 1 dimm only or both in bank A. Updated the bios to the latest 2.80, it refuses to POST in dual channel mode.

I submitted a ticket with Corsair but I fully expect they will say "it's your motherboard" and I'm sure Asrock will say "it's your RAM".

At least I got it to work in single channel, but I kind of don't want to keep building if I'm going to be returning stuff.

Also I'm noticing the XMP profile lists it as 2666mhz, but the bios reports speed as 2133. I manually changed it to 2666 and it wouldn't POST, and eventually crash guard pops up and lets you back into the bios. Wondering if I have to set all the timings manually... defeats the purpose of XMP in my opinion.

I guess I can return the RAM to Newegg and go with a 4 stick kit if I have to. Just delays everything.
