As others have mentioned in this thread, I have no earthly clue why anyone is even talking about gaming on this thing. This tablet/laptop was not meant to play games. If you think the GPU is too weak, please feel free to purchase a machine actually made for gaming.

I can't believe some of these responses. This is a not a gaming machine... it's not for basement dwelling gamers.

The problem isn't that this laptop is not a gaming machine. The problem is that they are selling this machine at a very very expensive prices. The top of the line cost $3k! That much you can get fully loaded 15" MacBook Pro with dGPU as well. For that price you're expecting dGPU that is WAY better than what Microsoft is giving you. As someone said... No wonder they didn't give the specs away at the conference. It's a joke. For that price it's insane to have that GPU. Wait until the MacBook Pro line is updated with the latest Intel CPUs... No one will buy this.

Why the heck are people complaining about the hardware?

Show me one 13" laptop that is this thin to feature a similar specced GPU. The Suface Book beats the crap out of the 13" MacBook Pro with freaking Iris Pro IGP and that was the whole idea behind this laptop/tablet/hybrid. On top of that you get water cooling which is clearly superior to Macbook and noisy air cooling

It is extremely well designed and comes with a premium for a reason

Here is a comparison between Macbook Pro 13" and GT 940M to give you an idea how much faster Surface Book will be.

GT 940M: 384 cores @1000MHz
Surface Book: 384 cores @ 954MHz
So they should be very similar.

As you can see, the hardware is more than enough to game with

Then buy a machine meant for GAMING (or your "work"). 10/10 if gaming is your work you aren't buying this.

Ya'll guys and/or girls are funny. If it had an high end mobile dGPU you would complain about battery life. Decent battery life but you complain about gpu computing power. This was built as a tablet 2 in 1 from the being.

Not sure if it's age but the comments on Reddit are 50% less idiotic then what I've read here. Why are so many people on here complaining about the graphic capability of a tablet size laptop? Most of you can't even afford it, or are even the target demographic of an item such as this.
