This is the first time I have even thought of water cooling. If I am missing anything, or you guys have tips for me to follow please share.

I'm assuming you already have fans for the radiator. You'll need to stretch out the tubing so it will fit over the fittings, so make sure you have some needlenose pliers and hot water or something else to do that with. Otherwise, it looks like you're set. Good luck!

Yes I have 6, but am wondering if just three will do? I don't want super overclocks or anything.

I have no idea. You didn't specify what fans they are. I'm assuming you're cooling two 980Ti with the 140.3 radiator.

Six fans spinning at 200rpm each probably won't net you very great cooling. Meanwhile one fan spinning at 6,000rpm could probably handle it just fine.

If the fans are intended for use on a radiator, you'll probably be able to get away with just three. That said, if you have six already and they can fit, why not use all of them?

Ah yeah these will be fan controlled. Can all go up to 2000 rpm and down to 300 rpm. They move rougly 120cfm.

Noctuas, I'm guessing? I'm using those. Yeah, three will get you by. But if they're fan controlled, I don't see any reason to not use all six.

It's more on the space I will have in the Thermaltake Core X9 case with fan/rad/fan. It might be close.
