[ARS] Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P review: The true flagships of the Android ecosystem - Page 8

Camera on my Note 5 is borderline scary at how good it is. Took some low level city shots the other day using manual settings and was blown away at how good they look. No other phone camera comes even close to the latest Samsung offerings in my opinion...

If I cared about the camera I'd have stuck with my note 4.

The awful Samsung software was enough for me to go back to a nexus device after only 5 months.

Touch wiz on Note 5 is way stripped down from Note 4. Besides, I just run Atom launcher anyway.

Yeah Manual is nice but after you get bored of it you want the best camera with the best Auto mode.

Just got the email from Google that my Nexus 6P was just shipped! Can't wait to replace my Oneplus One.

Two updates ago (about 4 months ago) I had problems where if I have WiFi on (not even connected, just searching for a network), it messes with my Cell band and I get no calls or text messages, until I turn it off. I dealt with their support for 3 weeks (flashing new firmware straight from them a total of eight times) and they finally told me sorry, we can't help. I don't do anything to my phone at all. It's completely stock like it came from the factory. They delete posts like mine from the official forums, but when you post on reddit about the issue, I got responses from about 60+ people with the exact same issue, but they refuse to say it's a OPO issue.

Another problem is if I hold the phone a certain way, the person I am talking to cannot hear me at all. This has been this way the entire time. If I try to hold the phone with my shoulder and use my hands for something else, the person I am talking to can't hear me. It sounds like I'm in a tunnel. When I do the same thing with my wifes iPhone (was my old phone before I "upgraded" to the OPO) I have zero problems. Right now I am borrowing a buddies Note 4 (he upgraded to the Note 5 and let me use this while my N6P comes in) and I have no issues with holding with my shoulder, so I am pretty sure it's something with the phone, not my shoulder.

Mainly, I am tired about the not getting notifications when my WiFi is turned on.

Oh i see. Though it was something you did not like about OPO like Camera, Battery, LCD etc. I am having very hard time to upgrade from OPO to 2015 phone. Probably will do once S820 comes out.

I thought about waiting for that rumored "LG G4 Pro", but from here thing I hear, it will command a very high price tag (like $750+). With my OPO issues, I had no desire to upgrade to a OPT. I did upgrade to an iPhone 6 Plus, but that lasted me one week. I bought it on Swappa and the guy failed to disclose that the sound switch on the side was broke (the little switch that lets you mute your phone or unmute it), so I returned it to him. I was going to just buy a brand new iPhone 6S Plus, but for that price, I bought the N6P with the two year Google warranty and still saved money.

I was initially worried about the size, but found out it's nearly identical (size) to the OPO.

The battery on the OPO was great when I first purchased it (back in January of this year), but now I find my phone to be at 30% battery around 3PM, where as before I would be at 30-40% when I went to bed around 10-11PM. So, I'm really interested with the fast charging on the N6P. I would of liked wireless charging built in (I do a lot of woodworking and just finishing a new computer desk that I was going to add in a Qi charging area, along with build a new nightstand with Qi charging built in), but I guess I'll be fine with out it, it's not a 100% deal breaker to me.

Wireless charging is HUGE reason I went with the Note 5. It is a serious game changer for me personally...
