okay.

IDK if it's the fps or the camera but there's nothing smooth about this piece of gameplay you posted, maybe when you're moving in one direction it doesn't look that bad, but with sharp turning and swerving this is very choppy. And this is while driving a car, so still smoother than while running. I could not play with this, and this is 50-60 fps range. I set my games so that I never drop under 60fps, that's why I sold my 290.
Back to the thread's main topic, this test proves 960 is definitely not a 1440p card, and neither is 380.

Its the phone camera...the phone camera is recording at 1440P @ 30FPS, not sure if that has anything to do with it. The gameplay is actually very very smooth and the smoothness is consistent with going straight or swerving. It NEVER gets choppy. If it wasn't smooth you would see the frames dipping to unplayable FPS #'s which it never does.

290X with no overclock

You can see at 2:26 for graphic settings

ULTRA settings 1440P with FXAA ON and 2X MSAA

Check those settings again. You have several things on normal or high. You claimed Ultra "very high". Report back

why don't you have 4 potions hotkeyed?

Playing with a controller maybe? Other then that not sure. I haven't actively played the game in months. I load it up here and there and do part of the main quest line about it.

unplayabe is a broad term. 58fps is unplayable for me, and has always been, even when I didn't use to own top tier cards. maybe it was the years I spent playing q3 arena, but I just do not stand any slowdowns, be it even the tiniest ones.
and that part around 3:20-3:24 is certainly not the camera. See, I'd be dropping setting right away seeing this. I certainly wouldn't claim it runs very smooth at all times. But you can't really compare people's perspective, only the fps biggrin.gif

If it says HIGH that is the MAX the game would let you set it at... have you actually played the game before? Some settings you can set to VERY HIGH and some only to HIGH.

"58 FPS is unplayable", rolleyes.gif

sigh, you are the 0.01% or you're just trying to justify your $700 graphic card purchase.

The whole gameplay was smooth, the phone camera just make's it look choppy, idk why I have to keep repeating myself.

GTA 5 plays very smooth on my OC'ed 290 @1440p, I can confirm. I just turn off AA to get >60 fps tho. There is no stuttering.

Also take into consideration you have non-X version and a much much weaker CPU.

Its okay though let them 980TI users try to find something to bash on.
