Gtx680 2gb sli still relevant?

Thread Starter
As title I can get the second card for peanuts but I'm on ivy still so I'll need to find and buy an sli z77 motherboard as well, worth the hassle? Any recent benches? 1080p atm but planning 1440p after Christmas. Psu is good quality and I have an i7 btw

Well if you can get it for "peanuts", then sure. the 680 was close to the 7970 (280X) (correct me if I'm wrong) so SLi-ing them on 1080p would provide very nice frames, though the 2GB may be an issue with memory heavy games.

Ultimately it'll be fine. Just respect the settings in the games you play so you don't hit the video RAM limitations. Obviously it'll vary on title.

Yes very relevant. OC'ed they are the same as 770s, and SLI 770 will beat a 780Ti, 970 and a 980. 980Ti is faster but that's really it.
