My Sensei died and I just got a g303. I need some advice

I used a Sensei for 5 years and I was really happy but recently my right mouse button died. So I did some research and got a g303. It was a bit smaller than I expected and the diamond shape was weird at first but I think it's a really awesome mouse.

I immediately noticed the difference of the sensor, it's hard to describe but it feels much more responsive. The g303 is also super light which I love and the pads have almost no friction, the middle mouse button for some reason is really hard to press but it's not a big deal.

I usually use a finger grip and my the distance from my palm to my middle finger is 19cm.

The biggest annoyance that I have is that the mouse buttons are too easy to press, I often miss click the right mouse button, I am not able to rest my fingers on the left and right mouse buttons which is a bit straining.

Now I have the g303 since a few days and I don't do as many miss clicks anymore but I am still thinking if I should switch to a different mouse. Which other mice would you recommend based on what I wrote?

Well if you can get used to it, why not stay with it? thumb.gif

Well I am not sure if I can, that's why I am posting here.

The Zowie Fk1 is looking quite nice but it has some big DPI jumps, but I am currently at 800DPI anyway.

misclicks and stuff you get used to, eventually you will stop doing them when getting used to a new mouse. But if you absolutely cannot get used to it (after ~2 weeks at least), yeah FK1 of ZA11/12 would be your best bet. The huano's coupled with the stiff shell basically make it impossible to accidentally click.

Thanks for the reply, I was also looking at the ZA11/12/13.

Btw I have just tested my g303 and I am a bit confused. I always read that the g303 had the best sensor: Here are my results with 850CPI

1000hz 850dpi

500hz 850dpi

250hz 850dpi

The g303 seems to be more accurate if the pollrate is lower.

It almost seems like as if the pollrate in the logitech driver is completely reverse, where 125hz is actually 1000hz and 1000hz is 125hz.

I like the smoothing effect at 125 Hz.
Just draw some lines in paint.

I see a lot of people recently that are not understanding the mousetester graph at all. Remember that mice will only report movement in integers and a higher polling rate will result in lower count values per poll at the same speed/cpi.

Thanks, I was confused by "count" I thought it was how often the mouse would update but it's actually the delta move.

Actually I don't think that I use a fingertip grip at all. I have a weird grip, maybe even a combination of finger and palm grip. My palm is far behind the mouse and is in contact with the mouse pad, but I still have 6 points of contact. 5 finger + the "upper" palm. Do you know what this "grip" is called?

I just found my old G500 (sadly broken) and it feels awesome. Which mice are similar to the G500? I think the Zowie EC1-A might come close?

If the clicks are your biggest problem then don't worry anyway, I went from my old FK to a Deathadder before and it didn't take too long not to misclick.
