Update 2/17/16 - Final pics/update (new paint and hardware!) (Click to show) Update: 12/1/15 - Acrylic tube!!!!! (Click to show)
Got a few request to put a build log together. Some of you will recognize this TX10-D as project "thief" from Stren. I took possession of this beast a few months ago and I didn't really got around to do a log. Here's the parts list:

Core:
  • i5 4690K @ 4.5 i5 6600K
  • Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming G1 WIFI-BK GA-Z170X-GAMING G1
  • Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws V series 3000 16GB (44gb)
  • XFX R9 295x2 Core Edition (x2)
  • Samsung 840 250GB ssd
  • Samsung U28D590D Dell P2715Q 4k ips 60hz
  • Lepa G1600 (one rail per 8-pin pcie connection)

Cooling:
  • Koolance 380i
  • Swiftech D5 vario + Alphacool D5 acetal top 2x Dual Swiftech D5 vario + Barrow top and red housing
  • Various fittings: BP, XSPC, Enzotech, Alphacool, etc. Barrow acrylic 12mm compression, 90 compression, 90 dual compression
  • Koolance AR295x2 (x2)
  • Monsoon Bay reservoir 2x Barrow 210mm tube res (direct connect to Barrow D5 tops).
  • Alphacool Monsta 480 (x6) & Monsta 560 (x2)
  • Corsair SP120 HP (x65) & AF120 QE
  • Primochill Advance LRT Onyx black 3/8x5/8 tube Bitspower 12mm Deep Red acrylic tube
  • NZXT Mix 2 controller

Case:
Og specs -
  • TX10-D
  • Custom gray/gunmetal exterior (all removable panels) & silver-white interior
  • Vented panels and top
  • 3x3 140mm "Mora" radiator mount (covered in plexi due no use for my setup)
  • Solid flex-bay covers - matte black
  • 120.4 radiator side mount (silver-white) x2, 140.4 radiator side mount (silver-white)
  • 5x 120mm fan/hdd cage mount
  • CL hdd cage mount
  • TX10 pedestal (front in gray-gunmetal, frame & rear in silver-white)

***Just an fyi: this is a custom powder-coated case and these colors are not standard by CL from what I understand. At first I wasn't a fan was ready to pc the whole thing satin black but it has grown on me enough to really appreciate the selection Stren made for this case.

New additions:
  • 120.4 Flexbay radiator mount (matte black) x2
  • 120.4 radiator side mount (matte black) x2

Core 2:
Family desktop, primarily for my kids to use for their school work and some play. If either one gets bitten by the pc-gaming bug, I'll be upgrading this side to a starter gaming system later on own. I pulled the guts of an old amd Gateway desktop and shelved it. Since my kid's schools require a pc to do the online work (surprisingly, no mobile yet), I was able to resurrect the hardware and put it in chamber # 1. Its funny how six years ago I tried Crysis using this machine and an ATi HD4670. I had to really work hard to down all my settings to get to the ending. In the end, this was the reason i started doing custom again after a twelve year hiatus.

I just finishing doing a simple overhaul of this beast. I run distilled only and i changed that out since I had a bunch of jugs lying around the boss didn't like. Took about two US gallons of distilled. I did completely flush the entire thing since i needed to remove all rads for tapping (m3>6-32). I found a bunch of screws that were better imho then the ones I initially used. Also gave me an opportunity to do a bit more cleaning now that the rads were out of the way. I put on my ghetto dust filters back on and this time glued them in place (silicone glue, comes off easily). Does an ok job but I'll be replacing it with something more finite down the road.

What up D man! I just dropped it in with no drama. I guess the ppl want the drama that comes along with a build log. I've had one too many of those already and thought it would be nicer to just post post-completion pics and avoid scattering updates.

Are you planning to do an S3 build btw before they're ended?? Man, that intel build was gorgeous and I wants to do blueberry pastel now biggrin.gif

Thinking of dropping in one more rad on top in a 3x480 drop in mount from CL. I'll post updates once that's finished (tongue.gif).

The madness just never ends does it? :D I actually am planning a Case Labs build right now, though not an S3. I'm almost done with my SFF build in a Silverstone FTZ01. Glad you liked it! Coolant was EK pastel blue, but as you know, it's pretty damn similar to Mayhem's blueberry ;)

I'm not happy with my Z97 so I'm very itchy to get a RVE and some ek mb/rm/cpu blocks. The koolance cpu block has been doing well but i would want something to match my other blocks. I got a great deal on the 295x2s but I may sell them and go with something else. Not sure yet as I got a bunch of crap to deal with right now that I haven't had time for updates. I'm more keen on dropping in five dell 24" wqhd's in 5x1 so my cards would stay.

edit: the koolance block might go into the second system, It really deserves in a bette setup, as my little one is more keen on learning pc gaming. I only have the intel mount so I may go with a cheap 1150 build with a g3258 and a classic gpu w/ block. The cpu block would go into this one and an Evo in my rig. I'm torn between keeping the red/black theme or going w/ some blue inspired by your intel build thumb.gif.

I considered going back to a 5 monitor setup for a while now. Something I truly miss, but...AMD. I was not so impressed with the Fury Xs unfortunately :( My Acer Predator X34 GSync will be in on Monday though, so I'm looking forward to that.

Sweet. I've seen a few of the new monitors setups by 5x1 is just so immersive and with the size of the 24" dell 2560x1440s the same as my old dell 1200s, five would fit perfectly. I like my single monitor and I have not had any issues with my cards and drivers so far. I have five display ports on each 295x2, so 5x1 should be pretty straight forward with no hubs needed.

I got the mb on top of my priority list as its just not liking something. I'm gonna borrow my nephews haswell system to see what's the deal but I can't roll back drivers (thank you GB rolleyes.gif) so I'm stuck on so-so bios. I think its my ram but I'll find out soon when i get a chance to test this. It worked flawless with my G3258 and this cpu/ram worked awesome with the Sniper 5 Z87.
