Why would you jump up that high? I think you need to read more about safe overclocking. You are going to damage your chip if you make the wrong changes. Start with 1.2V and work up from there.

Okay, well changing any settings to the max fan speed of the hyper evo wont make it go faster than 1500rpm

On a side note.

All overclocks failed..

I reset the bios . Undervolted my VCORE to 1.18

Set turbo speed multiplier to 44 on all cores.

Left everything else on AUTO

now im running prime 95 for 7 minutes without crash and temperature on 60 degrees.

I'm guesing u can't overclock this chip.

And for the people who wonder why would i ?

I run DOLPHIN emulator at 4k

and other games.

you can absolutely overclock that chip. You are ignoring my suggestions and arbitrarily putting in settings without understanding what you are doing. Pleas for your own sake. Read up on propper overclocking techniques and when you understand what you are getting into try agiain.

I have tried your suggestions read 4 guide's on hasswell and z97 and watched a few video's

Set your uncore manually to 40x. I've read that leaving it on auto can mess with your OC. I set VRING manually to 1.050v, but setting it to 1.150v may be a better starting point.

Start with your VRIN at 1.900v and your VCORE at 1.200v (maintain a 0.5v difference between the two for now)

Leave your c-states and eist on auto. Keep xmk on profile 1. Only change these if you are looking for your CPUs maximum limits.

Now set your core multiplayer to 46 and see if it passes 30 min stressing. If it passes, lower your VCORE by 0.010v and see if it passes. If it fails increase by 0.010v. Keep your temps under 85C

I have tried this,

And before you told me this you told me i shoudl try to just do it with the vcore and the multipliers.

I have tried that also.

undervolting 1.180 made it crash after a few minutes.

I'm now trying 1.200v

@ stock 4.4 ghz

Dont twist my words, I suggested you start with your core mult and vcore and everything else on auto, YOU asked me about other settings so i responded. I also suggested not using prime95 as it is not recommended for haswell CPUs.

I did what you told me to do.

The part i quoted i didnt even do.

U must think im doing all kinds of crazy stuff in the bios?

I'm keeping it simple like you said.

Prime or no Prime i dont think the pc should crash after 2 minutes of it?

at least i got 1.2V running now for 17 minutes without crash.

After a few hours ill see what my options are.

Do you think i can overclock with normal voltages like range 1.2x - 1.3 ? Feels to me everything crashes even on 4.5ghz
