Best software on current wireless routers

Thread Starter
Been looking around for an hour or so without finding much for comparison.

I have been running a linksys e2000 with WRT since it was the latest hotness. I was thinking of upgrading to something with AC some of the software looks pretty neat on these routers these days and i was wondering what people like from the software side of things when comparing dlink linksys netgear and assus.

Before I built my pfsense box I used an Asus RT-66U with MerlinsWRT on it. It was rock solid.
