Second & Third opinions Office PC build

Thread Starter
This one is a first for me. I've only ever built modern gaming PCs so my knowledge of low-mid tier components is very limited. I was approached by a friend of a friend that knows nothing about pc hardware but was looking to spend just under 600 on each PC for his office space.

What will this PC be used for General applications like MS office, browsing, and whatever else is done with an office PC. No 3D rendering/playing video games at all.

Things worth mentioning.

I have zero experience with non overclocking chips. It's my understanding that I can cut costs by rolling with an H97 motherboard rather than a Z97 (I've only ever used Z motherboards, so can someone clarify this)

So Basically what I need to know from you gurus out there, does this look like a solid build for an office PC? Any compatibility issues between the ram/cpu/mobo? Could this build be improved without sacrificing performance? Thanks.

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117446
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157512
Storage media: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147372
RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231277
PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139026
Optical drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146190
OS: Windows 10 $100

Thank you guys in advance. Total price $592

I should mention that I'm more comfortable with intel as I have no experience with APUs. since this is so short notice

First, are you going to be on the hook for warranty/tech support?
Secondly, a business-class computer for light office work/YouTube watching is something that I've done a number of recently. Since you put this in General Processor Discussions, I'm going to assume that you aren't against a cost effective AMD build; if you have access to a MicroCenter, you can really save some money by purchasing the APU/mobo combo there.

Just want to echo everything that p4inkill3r had to say and add that your system is a little overkill. I was done picking out parts when I saw that he beat me to the punch. Our two builds are pretty similar, save manufacturer preference on a couple of items.

I too have built a number of "office" PC's recently. Doesn't take much now-a-days to cover the requirements.

@ Painkiller & Wizard Thanks for the input. So sorry to mention that I have zero experience with AMD CPUs/Mobos. I've always dealt with Intel my entire life.

Since this is on such short notice, might be best that I stick with what I'm familiar with? Like I have no knowledge of AMD chipsets or anything. And while I know you guys know your stuff (far more than I do) I'd feel a little more comfortable going with intel since it's what I know. (if that makes sense).

Sorry for not including that in the OP.
