This.

They can afford pay out millions to top content creators to buy mansions. Yet they complain that ad's are taking away from their revenue, nothing but greed here.
Without those content creators, they wouldn't have the millions to give out to anyone. And without the ad money, content creators wouldn't be as incentivized to make their videos.

play videos in the background on a mobile device

I already got Tubex on my iPhone 6s for that, for free. Why should I pay YouTube to do the same thing?

can you imagine the outrage at people miss typing or miss clicking on a google search biggrin.gif

Honestly, this is the worst name choice for the service, really beyond the obvious issues some people might in fact be scared away from even typing red you tube into google and a lot of people don’t rely on bookmarks.

Its not too late, please re think the name.

Thats the problem. "youtube" needs to be in the name because of the name recognition. The difficulty comes in finding the word for the premium service. I have no idea where 'red' came from. As many members have mentioned, its an accident waiting to happen on google.

I know right... have that on my iPad. I swear the standard YouTube app is so bad. Sometimes it literally buffers 720p

I don't see the problem.

YouTube Red = YouTube Music Key except applied across all of YouTube instead of just music videos. This is apart of the Google Play Music subscription so you get Music+Red.

Its crazy how Google is always considered this white knight of a company that "really cares" about us, yet they are just as money grubbing and greedy as Apple or anybody else. No thanks to paid YT...

Google stopped being a company of the people a long time ago.. However, it is among the better ones of the big companies.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with trying to make as much profit as you can but I have to right to not support things I disagree with as a consumer as well...
