Cheap 120mm fans for 1080 radiator

Thread Starter
Hi, as the title suggests, I am looking at fans that would be the best option for a 1080 rad (3x3 120mm configuration)
I am looking for really cheap fans, like $10 max. I don't care where to get them from, I have nothing against ordering internationally.
Selection will be mostly based on aesthetics since the radiator will be mounted to my ceiling.

Arctic, Phobya, Swiftech.. and of course Yate Loon http://www.aquatuning.de/air-cooling/axial-fans/1731/yate-loon-d12sl-12-with-plug-1350rpm-120x120x25mm?c=645

Now, for 1080 Phobya (super)Nova.. 4x 180mm fans are an option.. like the Phobya 180x32 Gsilent
http://www.aquatuning.de/air-cooling/axial-fans/11379/phobya-g-silent-18-700rpm-red-led-180x180x32mm?c=645

Note: you get what you pay for... if you want good radiator fans.. then Noiseblocker eLoop, or Nidec AP/GT 15, or EK Vardar

Do you have an idea as to what the difference in performance and operation noise would be between 9x120 and 4x180?

This 1080 rad will just be a supporting rad that can be added in through quick disconnects, the main loop of the rig will be running EK Vardar F4ER fans.

difficult to say smile.gif
I have 9x120 800 RPM eLoops on one side and 4x180 x32 700 RPM G-Silent on the other side of my MO-RA smile.gif
I would have to unplug the sides to hear if its better with only 120's or only 180's

They are running at fixed speed anyway and dont bother me at all.. its not as if i have bolted the MORA to my ear... it is quite some distance away.

Of course, when just browsing or watching a movie, and there is a silence part in the movie (just before the jump-scare) you can hear the rustling in the background... if you start listening for it.. but it is no more present or "loud" as the fans one has in/on a PC case or GPU when idle.

Arctic Cooling PWM (non Pro version) fans aren't too bad for a rad. They are dirt cheap on Amazon, are relatively quiet, and can be Daisy chained. Even if you pump up the rpms (which you might not have to with all that surface area), they are not obnoxiously loud. Take a look at those.

Do you have a different loop in your system or are you just running on the MO-RA? What temps are you getting?

On a side note, I absolutely love the eLoop design!

This is a pack of five: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NTUJTAK?keywords=arctic%20cooling%20pwm&qid=1445890748&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1
They only have 2 120mm fans, I believe. This is the better one, the non-Pro version.
