I get that it's hard to change sensitivity, i used to be kinda like that in using low sens. I played Starcraft 2 at low master (top 2%) level using 360dpi 1.00x on a 1920x1080 screen, which is insanely low sensitivity for most games (FPS uses a different sensitivity system that's not really comparable and better measured in cm/360)

One of the things i did to switch sensitivities around and not feel bad about it or be that bad was just playing at a different sensitivity for a while, like if you just set 40cm/360, use only one sens and then get 5-10 hours of gameplay on it without switching back, noncompetitive if neccesary. The whole "this feels bad" thing is mostly about what you are personally used to - and you can shock yourself out of that feeling and get an idea for how to play a wider range of sensitivities, that lets you feel better about using a different sens high or low and allows you to adapt to a new sens faster as well.
