Like maybe Nathan-used-a-baby-for-jeep-fuel kind of weird.

Uncharted series is great IMO. Just too many non sense shooting parts, with wave after wave of enemies. Gets kinda old fast. Other than that, the game was always fun. More excited about the new Tomb Raider over the newest Uncharted game though. Enjoyed the last one more than I did UC3, which was the most Meh in the series for me so far.

The Metal Gear Solid games are over rated though IMO.

Renting? What is this 1994?
I still have the option to keep the game if I really like it and I honestly expect UC4 to be the biggest jump in the series. After TLOU I hoped they put a more mature touch on UC aswell. PS4 games don't lose much value in the first couple of weeks. If you buy it new for 60$ then it is still worth 50$ the week after.

As for Metal Gear Solid. Well there is a reason MGS has a very sophisticated audience and Kojima is praised as one of the, if not the best video game director. He is even praised by people like Guillermo del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn and many more.

I can't make you like Metal Gear Solid. You are allowed your own opinion, but so am I and my opinion of you is drastically reduced due to the fact that you don't like MGS. (This is not meant as an insult. I just wanted to be honest and with honesty it is hard to not sound insulting even if that isn't the intention).

Places like gamestop will not give you $50 for a brand new game a second after you buy it. And dealing with people on CL or Ebay and be a hassle. Granted I use CL a lot, but still does consume time. I don't rent games myself, as I only buy games I plan on keeping. I still have all my Uncharted games for my PS3, for when I feel like replaying them some day. If ever. tongue.gif But I know people who do rent games that are only single player, saves more money in the long run.

Also I never said I didn't like MGS, I just said it was over rated. And it is, IMO. I actually like the games, the first one brings back good memories. MGS 4 was pretty meh though. I think the series it decent, but not godlike like some people like to think. If anything it is just as Overrated as Halo, if not more. And I love Halo to death.

Oh Gosh, I hope not. Not everything has to be super serious and dark to be considered worthy of praise. I wish UC would stay campy and fun...remain true to its roots.

I blame Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight series...easily one of my favourite film trilogy but it's become too commonplace for media to make their story/characters/setting super dark and gritty and it's getting tiresome.

I said mature. That doesn't necessarily mean darker. While the 2 have the same orientation they can be confused.
Humor should stay in, but not in a goofy way. Black humor or intelligent humor would be fine!

Although I'm pretty sure the game will be more mature/darker no matter what. The trailers already look like it.

Another one of my favorite subjects.

The best thing about MGS5 is it's nothing like the first two.

You mentioned TLoU...so it'd be reasonable to assume being darker was inclusive of being more mature

I agree but hate is a strong word. Let's say it is hard for me to understand why people put Uncharted and masterpiece in the same sentence.

Yeah somewhat. Humor is important for Uncharted. What I mean by that is that the humor from UC1-3 is definitely outdated for 2016. I hope they acknowledged that.

From a gameplay side of things MGSV (it's MGSV btw, not MGS5. It is actually somewhat important biggrin.gif) is definitely the strongest by far. I would like more cutscenes and story though. MGS4 definitely went overboard with the cutscenes with Otacon in the plane.
