Lol this is right up my warped alley! I forgot about this title. I assume it's released in 2016?

Sweet footage, but I didn't see any attacks using water, filtered or otherwise.

Oooooh, Penn and Teller, I'm impressed. Or not. Has nothing to do with the validity of your claim. Nor does the "I work with it too as a scientist". Guess what, so do I, as a fellow scientist. In the bio-inorganic chemistry lab that I work in we use MilliQ water exclusively for our protein purification and assays, still not relevant at all. Also, when did I reference drinking MilliQ water? Working in a lab that uses MilliQ does not acquaint you with actual industrial scale water purification systems. Similar to how flushing your toilet does not make you a plumber.

I worked on industrial reverse osmosis systems in a water bottling facility before going back to grad school for chemistry. If you want to assume that tap water is equivalent to RO water, be my guest. However, your assumption that tap water does not have elevated levels of harmful compounds, especially in fracking regions, is erroneous. Even in areas that are not around fracking, if given the choice, I would always advise drinking filtered water.

What are the THM levels in faucet water? Chlorine levels, dissolved organics, how about residual pharmaceuticals (especially endocrine receptor antagonists).... The list goes on and on. But I don't know what I am talking about, so go drink that water! thumb.gif

Also, really sorry about the thread derail. It just irks me to see people disseminate inaccurate information.

It looked like there was a shotgun, and at first a chaingun too. ?

I too hate seeing people disseminate inaccurate information. Water from the tap is NOT harmful, yes, there may be elevated levels of whatever in your tap water, but they are within tolerable levels for human life. As for why I mentioned drinking purified water? Isn't that what we're discussing? It's a well known fact that drinking excess amounts of purified water, especially while exerting, will lead to leaching of electrolytes from a persons body. Additionally the chlorine in water prevents excessive growth of bacteria, such as say..... cholerae? You can't go around blanket stating that purified water is always better for you than tap water. I'm also rather sad to see you dismiss the great work and information provided by such humble folks as "entertainers" as irrelevant, just because they're not high and mighty scientists like you.

It was pretty awesome to me. Felt great, but if anything its mid-range potential is much lower than Doom. Still feels great at close range though!
