Custom Watercooled FT02 w/ i7, Mobo, RAM, PSU

Hey guys, I'm looking to downsize and hopefully sell off this whole rig without parting out.

The parts are:
  • Delidded Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.7GHz
  • MSI Mpower Z77 Motherboard
  • 16GB (2x8) G.Skill 2133MHz RAM
  • Silverstone 1000W Platinum PSU
  • Silvestone Windowed Black Fortress FT02 Case
  • Lamptron FC5 fan controller

The watercooling loop:
  • 3 x 180MM Radiator, copper 35MM thick
  • D5 pump
  • 5.25" Reservoir
  • Quick disconnects installed for GPU and CPU
  • Direct die mount EK nickel waterblock for CPU

I built it about 2 years ago, it is rock solid at 4.7 it will run all day every day. The CPU lid is removed (I still have it) and the socket retention bracket has been removed so the waterblock directly contacts the CPU die. Thermal paste is CLU. I ran two 7970s originally and switched to a 780Ti later with plans to get a second card but never did. Temp wise the CPU sits in the 60s while doing Prime95, games are similar if a high end GPU is in use although it does dip in the 50s/40s if the game is not demanding. My 780Ti normally sat at ~34C at load although I saw as high as 40C if the fans were on medium. I've got all the original packaging and accessories for everything.

I will post some pictures of it this weekend. Thank you. biggrin.gif

To be clear, it has quick disconnects for a GPU, but no GPU and GPU block itself? That's going to severely hamper its resale value, particularly because it's a watercooled PC.

Also, there's no hard drive and Operating System? That will decrease its resaleability as well.

I'd say there's no way you'll get more than $400 for this, and I don't think you'll get that much. Maybe $300.

lol i don't know where his $300 value came from but OP, start at $600 for the whole thing

Yeah I was thinking $300 for just the mobo/CPU/RAM and block. I'm still trying to decide if I should hang onto it and just put a new card in it next year or get rid of it. The 3770K is still pretty competitive from what I've seen. Thanks to both of you for the help. +REP biggrin.gif

Keep it and drop a new GPU in it, there's no real reason to upgrade from ivy

Throw in another 780ti and you should be set! biggrin.gif

I agree, I think you should just hold on to it and add a new GPU (or a second 780Ti if you can get it and its waterblock for cheap).

If you're still trying to sell, including the 780Ti and the hard drive with OS would more than double its value. Roughly $800.

I won't be adding a new GPU for a while, maybe the Fury 2 or something but nothing this generation. I've got a 980M in my laptop with Gsync so whenever I get a new GPU I'll be getting a new Freesync/Gsync monitor for the desktop which means it's going to be extra expensive. tongue.gif
