downgrade from 144hz TN panel to 60hz IPS monitor worth it?

I've had my 144hz BenQ XL2411T for over a year now. I like the smoothness but the colors are just awful.. I'm actually having Digital Vibrance at 100% just so the screen wouldn't look so grayish . Been trying to calibrate it as well with two different settings which I found by googling a bit, but no good.

IPS monitor colors are so beautiful, so I've been thinking of changing to IPS monitor. I'm just not sure if I'd be happy with the lower hz . Most 60hz can be overclocked to 75hz... just that is there a noticeable difference there? I do game at a competitive level FPS games but also play MMORPG's such as ArcheAge.

I know there's out these brand new 144hz IPS monitors but they cost sooo much that I can't really buy one. Especially with G-Sync (not even sure if G-Sync is important or just some marketing gimmick) .

I'd also be happy with non g-sync IPS of 100hz perhaps? Heard of Qnix... but people say that those are really bad and won't even work properly or at a stable Hz.

What do you think... would it be worth the downgrade or would there be too much draw backs to it?

Some monitor suggestions would be nice.

I'd never go back to 60hz ever again... I really want the 120hz IPS coming out soon. Wait for that if you have the cash.
You already have one so get both.

I'd get a 1440p IPS/AH-IPS/PLS display. Nothing fancy. IPS monitors are flawed, same as TN but in different ways (better blacks and viewing angles but IPS glow can be as bad as the TN viewing angles.)
I'd stay away from OC monitors. Get a name brand you trust.

Check out an OLED. No speed can make up for that.

I had my Samsung 2233RZ 120hz TN 1650p panel and it was awesome, went to the QNIX (1440p PLS 100hz perfectly stable OC) and it was the only solution. Going to 60hz sucks and it's definitely not worth it, ESPECIALLY if you stay at the same resolution. If you can afford it, get the new Asus 144hz Freesync IPS display, it's kickass. You can obviously get the GSYNC one but that is an extra $200.

There was a sale recently for Qnix's for 200$ US. Not sure if it's still applicable but these monitors are great value

60Hz is the worst thing ever. Truly. If you want good colours and a fast response time, wait for the Acer Z35. It is a 35" VA Curved panel with 144Hz Static and up to 200Hz in G-Sync Mode. Plus, VA does not have that horrible IPS "glow".

This 60hz talk makes me feel like I'm missing out on something with my 60ghz monitor that I actually like.

1440p IPS/PLS 96hz+ is very cheap nowadays. (200-250$)

Anyways, what is your budget? there are many options you can go with depending on your how much you are willing to spend but the Crossover is the best bang per buck in the market imo.

if Qnix is working stable on 100hz I'll go for it. The new Asus also is a bit pricey but could probably get it in 2 months, if there's too much negative things about Qnix.

My budget would be around 250-280 $ I'd say. Although if it's worth spending a bit more then I can stretch the budget to somewhere 380$/euros

35" is a bit too much for my single gtx 970 I'd say. Around 23-27" is what I'm looking for. IPS glow? as in on the sides?
