Newer single player FPS recommendations?

Thread Starter
I've been looking for a first person shooter to play recently. I've played most of the greats, and I was hoping there were some newer ones, that maybe slipped through the cracks. I'm not really into playing FPS games online. Just never could see the appeal. I'm also not really into modern military shooters, even when it comes to single player. I'm thinking more along the lines of scifi stuff. You know, zombie, post apocalyptic, retro, space, general scifi stuff. I'd love to hear some of you guys' recommendations. They can be weird, off the wall stuff. I don't really care. Anyway thanks for reading

Dying Light, it's co-op, has great side quests and its expansion is being released soon-ish.

It's a whole lot like Dead Island with Parkour if Dead Island had some depth instead of corny gimmicks.

Killing Floor 2 (solo is an option) smile.gif

This doesn't fit with your regime but Miami: Hotline is a blast.

Farcry 4 I play exclusively offline and I've had alot of fun with it.
Bordarlands 2 is still fun but dated.

Needs some mods to make playable, but Rage if you can get it cheap. No SLI support though, as a warning.

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

If you were a teen ager or older in the 80's this game will make you laugh often and is a lot of fun to play.

Unloved is worth a look, orginally it was a mod for Doom 2, I've played a bit of it myself and its sort of like Killing Floor, but with that Doom style vibe to it.

If you're looking for a Left For Dead type multiplayer game that does the whole L4D bit a tad bit better you can try Warhammer: End TImes Vermintide.

4 player co-op, gets pretty hard but is pretty fun too. Just picked it up tonight and I'm having a blast.

Well I've played and beat every game listed lol

When I said retro, I guess I should have said 'retro themed" like Wrack.

Anyone else? Any obscure titles that may have slipped through the cracks for most people?
