Hello smile.gif

Im looking to buy the Cooler Master Hyper 212X cooler for my AMD FX-6300 3.5GHZ. I have a MSI 970 G43 motherboard, an 8GB RAM stick and a K280 case.

Now im wondering if the fan will fit. My case max height is 162mm. The cooler height is 158mm. Will it definitely fit? And is height the only dimensiom that matters or should i look into the length and width as well??

Here is a picture of the inside of my case.

Honestly, joining a forum, posting a thread and bumping it every 10 minutes all in the same day is very rude. Once a day is normal, maybe twice if in a rush.

All dimensions are important. Case clearance, distance from center of CPU toward PCIe socket and RAM socket and RAM height are the most critical. Other possible issues are heatsink heights on mobo .. and daughter boards or anything else that is 30-50mm tall.

Cooler is 158, case is 162. You will have 4mm clearance. Other than that check your ram height but the 212 will clear most ram as its usually just the fan overhanging the ram slots and the fan has some leeway to be able to move it up for additional clearance.
