New Build - 2000$ - Work (Video, 3D, Animation)

Hi!

I'm going to purchase/build a new computer next month. The budget is aprox. 2000$.
I'm becoming freelancer and it's mostly for work (Video, Animation, 3D, Adobe CC, Cinema 4D, Houdini).

This is the current configuration i'm thinking:
(Have made some research but without deep knowledge, i need some help to improve/choose some specs)

- CASE
FRACTAL DESIGN DEFINE R5 BLACK USB 3.0

- CPU
PROCESSADOR INTEL CORE I7 5820K 3.60GHZ 15M SKT2011-3 BOX

- Motherboard
GIGABYTE X99-UD4 SKT 2011-3
or
ASROCK X99 EXTREME4

- GPU
GIGABYTE GEFORCE GTX980 TI WINDFORCE 3X G1 GAMING OC 6GB GDDR5

-Storage
WESTERN DIGITAL CAVIAR BLUE 1TB 7200RPM 64MB SATA III 3.5 (two - Raid 0)
SAMSUNG SERIES 850 EVO ULTRASLIM 250GB 2.5" SATA III (for OS)
or
One: SSD 520GB to be able to work directly on it (but with OS and Software 512Gb is not that much)
One: HDD for storage

What do you suggest?

- Power
SEASONIC S12G RT 80 750W PLUS GOLD

- Memory
G.SKILL PC417000 2133MHZ 16GB VALUE SERIES CL15 (2X8GB) DDR4 (2x - Total 32GB)
Not very sure what memory to choose...
looking also to Corsair Vengeance 2666 (Native Frequencie of motherboard is 2133 though)

Overclock and Cooler: Opinions/suggestions?

This build is already a little above the budget... anything i'm "waisting" money?

Thank you in advance, and sorry for the long post!

Where are you located?

I am in the process of building a very similar rig..

A few suggestions;

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438030&cm_re=b2_850-_-17-438-030-_-Product

I would get this PSU, its a Super Flower OEM so it's top quality and you get an extra 100 watts which you may need down the road.

I would also go to Microcenter if you can to get the CPU / Board. The CPU is on tray for 299$ at some locations, and I just picked up an Extreme4 x99 board for $100 flat.

For RAM I like Crucial / Hyperx / GSkill

for SSD I like Samsung / Crucial

edit: cooler - Phanteks / Cryorig high end stuff is amazing. I'd also probably get the Enthoo over the R5

Pretty solid start. I would say go for the first storage option of hdd + ssd. For memory, you want at least 2400MHz+ as it does make a bit of a difference compared to 2133. Anything higher not so much though.

Do you plan on OC'ing the cpu? The 5820k can run a little toasty so a you will want a nice cooler.

I'm located in Portugal, OPorto. Thinking in making the rig in a local store, don't know if the prices diverge much from better online stores...
Thanks for the suggestions!

I will only look to overclock unrisky parts. I've read the gtx980 ti can oc well... never done it before, i'll have search around.

It may, but quite a few user reviews of the Windforce indicate it is quite loud (specifically having a pretty loud coil whine). I cannot corraborate but I would maybe rethink that particular one if I were you. Also the PSU you picked is unnessary. You don't need 750W for a 1GPU setup. Look for eVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W. If you're thinking of a 2GPU setup down the road then look at the 750W version.
